It feels so good to find my groove again at almost 4 months postpartum. Pregnancy can have the most confident people feel so self conscious about their postpartum body. After having my baby I was 30lbs down but things just didn’t look or sit right. Then when I went to the gym I wasn’t able to perform at the level I was used to training at. I knew I had to give my body time to recover but I put so much pressure on myself to, “bounce back”. Sometimes we women can be our own worst enemy. I’m glad that I’ve finally gotten it through my own head that all I need to do is give myself time. I don’t have the time 🕰 I’m too busy 🗣, what’s the point blah blah blah. 😬 Trust me you can always make time for the things that you really want and matter to you. You can never be too busy to look after yourself, your health, nutrition, fitness and well-being. It doesn’t have to be 2 hours. 30mins of fitness makes a huge difference. The fact is, I personally feel like we put a time frame on our health and fitness journey's.💣 - We have an event coming up, or we simply just want to do a 30 day, 60 day, or 12 week challenge, and after that time elapses we take 10 steps back. - After all that time, hard work, and dedication we put in, we throw it all away, and then we have to start over. Your progress has now vanished.🙃 - I believe that more often than not we let our selfish desires and vanity get in the way of our journey. - Imagine if you put your health 1st.  If you respected your body enough, you'd have the right goals, mindset and approaches within your journey. -  Imagine if you never had to start over, where would you be now? Now imagine if from here on out you actually put your health 1st. Accepting that it will be a long, steady and never ending journey, results in never having to restart again.

Second time in a week I've been complimented on my workout. Two police officers that work out together at the gym that I go to were using a piece of equipment next to me and just had to tell me that I'll probably one of the hardest working people in the gym. But I'm a very motivating person and then I make them want to go harder when they're in there. Sooo good! But could be dangerous. How do? How many people think, it’s healthy I can eat what I want. Not true. 220 calories in 4 small cookies 9 grams of sugar and 17 carbs. Found a great way for deadlifting at home while unloading my groceries :) 🏋️‍♀️ •  A box of drinking water (approximate weight ~50 lbs) worked perfectly for this! •  Yes, sometimes you don’t have enough time for a regular workout, but you still can find a way for an easy and quick substitute. For example, do 20-30 squats or push-ups, or biceps curls, or jumping jacks or box with water deadlifting, or whatever… every 1-2 hour of your day or have just a short, but intense workout for 20-30 min. •  But you need to plan it ahead! Do what feels right for your body and don’t overdo it.  build up in reps and weights slowly. * Get into your mini squat and toe tap forward for 5-10 reps, toe tap side for 5-10 reps, and toe tap back for 5-10 reps. * Feel the burn! 🗣“why don’t I look like that?!” If the mechanics of each skill are done correctly you will achieve the “look”, if you keep striving for a “look” you will miss the entire skill.  What I see: tendu, relevé, pointe, battement, straddle, develope, mobility, bird of paradise, extension, strength, engagement, pirouette, pivot, panche, splits, balance, control, awareness... strung together these elements make skills seen in this flow. What most people see: “shes so flexible...nice pointed feet”. This is called having “the eye”. Not everyone can see elements because not everyone knows they exist... they are the alphabet of acrobatics. Trying to achieve skills without understanding elements is extremely difficult and can eventually become dangerous if tricks and skills become big enough. If you don’t have each of those micro skills (elements) then the flow doesn’t happen. It doesn’t matter what you call the skills “peekaboo” vs “paradise tilt” “turn” vs “reverse pirouette”... the skills remain the same, they are comprised of a variety of micro skills (elements) and each element must be more than achieved, it must be memorized like a habit that can then be called upon at your will; so when learning full or new skills you never have to relearn of think about the habits (elements) you’ve worked to perfection... they are already there (ex: straight legs aerially). This is why a gymnast or dancer has an advantage in pole fitness... their base foundation was not skipped. Its not always exciting but it’s the reality of artistic fitness (art...key word). It’s your choice how to move forward but I advise you let go of the desire for skills and tricks and look into the mechanics and elements.  That is where the LOOK comes from, controlled elements. So again...If the mechanical elements of each skill are done correctly you will achieve the “look” but if you keep striving for a “look” you will miss the skill and continue to
