You’ve got to practice the basics, doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in the game. Train yourself to get back to foundational movements. You cannot progress in speed, flexibility or strength if those have been neglected.
In The Healthification Podcast E561: The Last Pig Film with Allison Argo. ——————-🐷——————- The Last Pig is a deeply intimate journey into the life of a pig farmer as he grapples with death, searches for compassion, and finally finds the courage to change. ——————-🐷——————- Under the direction of six-time Emmy winner, Allison Argo and shot by cinemtogapher Joseph Brunette, The Last Pig exemplifies Argo’s mission to provide “a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves” and to deepen understanding and respect for all beings. ——————-🐷——————- I’m so very grateful for the following conversation with Allison. If, like me you have friends or family that are not open to some of the more confronting and horrific footage of factory farming and slaughter house kill floors than perhaps The Last Pig could be a way to plant a little compassionate vegan seed with them? ——————-🐷——————- Especially to my activist friends, if you’re interested in hosting a screening please just cruise to thelastpig.com. Allison makes it really easy. “Cheat meals” are an outrageously flawed concept! Their is NO 🙅🏻♀️ CHEATING when it comes to food! Their end result is not the carefree Saturdays spent brunchin’ with your crew that you might imagine. 🔲 Nope. Their end game is to create obsessive, fear based thoughts about food (which can then set us up for binging)🤨. And actually—weight gain which is the opposite of what most people who participate in this phenomenon are trying to do! 🔳 There is no “cheating” on food. All food fits. Reject notions of right and wrong foods, or strict guidelines restricting certain foods to certain days and times🙅🏻♀️ 🔲 So stop 🛑 with your one weekly “cheat” and just learn to eat ALL foods ALL the time when you feel like having whatever it is you and your body wants! Let’s send the term “cheat meal” back into the bowels of diet culture BS where it belongs, shall we? 🔲 🔳 Another day where food was on point! And both bars that I had were freaking epic in chunk porn and taste. Like—these @rxbar And @beachbody bars ecstatically made me even more ridiculously happy today than usual—which is hard. But maybe TGIF mood contributed too?? NA. They were just that good! Have you had these? If you want to try beach bars message me or comment below. I can and will hook you up with a discount!
