Day 18 for #yogaposeaday and I keep looking at how odd Plough pose looks. It certainly doesnt feel this way when one is in the pose. I find plough pose to be a great relief for my low back! 🧘♀️ This pose superbly stretches the whole body and is one of the most important basic poses of yoga. It is often a continuation of the Shoulder Stand posture. The Plough posture keeps the entire spine supple and youthful, and stretches the whole body. It slims the abdomen, hips, and legs. It activates circulation, nourishing the roots of the spinal nerves, the facial tissurs, and the scalp. It aides digestion and bowel action. Running is growing into a new passion of mine 🏃🏻♂️ . I was always a person who hated running. I was never a fast runner. I only ran when I had too. . I've been on a health journey for awhile now, which has been amazing and why I became a health coach. . I have found that mindset is one of the largest struggles with becoming a healthier you. . Running to me is a form of meditation where I am only focused on that moment (my form, my breathing, daydreaming that I'm running on the beach, etc). . I am focused on pushing myself to not give up. This helps me mentally and physically. . I am at the beginning of my running journey and am starting slow by running at a slower conversational pace. . Today, my pace was around an 11 minute mile and I'm hoping to gradually increase it and go longer distances. . I am implementing the Japanese philosophy Kaizen which means "to continually improve" or "change for good." . There is only one way to live life at your fullest potential, and that is to always be trying new things, getting out of your comfort zone, overcoming fears, and to continually improve yourself 🙏🏻 . Purely Pajarito - After seeing so many posts I headed over to Pajarito tonight with a friend. We started with the signature @pajarito.stp margarita which was “all that” and then we tried the grilled octopus, the arabes tacos, and the elote style brussel sprouts all of which had great flavor and texture.
