I live for this! Love seeing athletes make breakthroughs! @medeiros_meg_ is my bodyweight specialist from Delaware. This girl dedicated the past couple of months of her life to be a part of the @orlandoaces. That right there shows committment and dedication. Over the past couple of weeks, she's been practically living in Florida and I've had the opportunity to work closely with her and programming for her. Being able to watch her get VERY close to accomplishing a huge milestone for her after a little technical work is the reason I do what I do! Working with her and all my athletes reminds me I'm right where I need to be.. so thank you! #hardworkpaysoff#proudcoach#thisismywhy#thebeautifulstruggle#embracethejourney#taylarmade#repost @medeiros_meg_ (@get_repost) ・・・ Long post warning ⚠️ . . Since starting crossfit, rowing has been the one movement I have struggled with the most and still, 4 years later have not completely figured out. Despite hours of technique work and receiving many cues and instructions from different coaches, I still just haven’t been able to make a connection to get my body to cooperate with my mind. Needless to say, that is a frustrating feeling but I always told myself that just like every other movement, one day it would click. Today was a HUGE step in that direction and while I can’t say it fully “clicked,” I know that progress was made! . . I’ve said it a million times but I’ll say it again, THANK YOU @taylarmade for taking the time to work on my technique with me, for giving me allll the cues and pushing me through the longest 8 minutes of my life (twice) 😂 . . 🚣🏼♀️ Even though I fell short of my goal in this workout, I still walked away with a PR, some more confidence in my rowing, and a whole new outlook. I won’t be satisfied until I achieve that goal, but I think that if I needed one thing to spark the fire in me, it was this!🔥🚣🏼♀️ . . #wzaoc#wza2019#wod6#idied
Incoming some stupid motto post... . . Four years in the Marine Corps. Today should've been the day I left, but for some unfortunate turn of events I ended up extending my contract out. I learned a lot in my last four years. I also learned that age has nothing to do with the wisdom and knowledge you attain. You'll always learn something. Thank you to everyone I've met along this journey. To the amazing leadership and to the shittiest of leadership. I learned how to be a person through it. Soon this chapter of my life will close and a new one will start. I became who I am through all of you. . . .
