Cardio is a tool in the same way so is weight training. So don’t just jump on a treadmill for 30 minutes try your hand with a resistance machine or a kettlebell. . SLEEP. The most underrated element to fat loss is sleep, to be more specific not enough of it. when you train in the gym you are putting your body through a large amount of stress, or at least you should be. But with not enough sleep your body has less time to recover, less time to produce the right hormones and regulate the body. So be sure to get your Z’s in. . LIFTING WEIGHTS. It’s not the first thing people think of when they think fat loss but weight training bloody well works. While training with resistance (weight training) your body burns a large number of calories, plus you have the added benefit of without a double gaining strength, possibly gaining muscle in the right circumstances. So don’t just stick to one training type, experiment and find what you enjoy. . PROTEIN INTAKE. Seeing as protein is the only nutrient that will help you maintain or gain any muscle mass, you could say it’s pretty damn important. This is one thing people forget with fat loss (weight loss) if you don’t have enough protein you will eventually lose muscle mass, reducing how many calories you burn naturally so making it harder for you to lose weight.
