I think my job description should be lipstick connoisseur 💄Because I cannot stop myself from trying every lipstick out there. I’ve never tried a @beccacosmetics lipstick before so I ordered this baby in ‘Truly Yours’ during the @sephora sale, and it’s goooorg. The packaging is so high quality and the finish is dewy and glowy just like most of their other products ✨I saw @paige_desorbo wore this lipstick so I had to try it myself and I’m a big fan. Who else has tried @beccacosmetics ?!
I have previously used the Balancing Moisturizer which was amazing. The balancing moisturizer is better for normal to oily skin. I was hoping this would be just as great and it definitely is! @omorovicza has never left me disappointed, everything I always purchase I fall head over heels in love with. The Illumating Moisturiser is better for normal to dry types. You need to use the tiniest amount as it spreads easier. It keeps my skin moisturiser all day long but doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It contains antioxidant (vitamin C&E) from plum oil, apple pectin to retain moisture, the famous Hungrain Thermal Water and Ruby crystal which give the fabulous illumation to the skin. I do love the scents of all Omoroviza products. I have a backup of this moisturiser.
@freshbeauty Soy Face Cleanser which is a face wash with soy protein that removes all traces of dirt and makeup without stripping skin. This is great for everyday use. @freshbeauty Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face is amazing to use 2-3 times a week to exfoliated the face from impurities and excess oil. Also smells amazing! Both are sold at @sephora #freshsugarstrawberry#soyobsessed#contest#complimentary @Influenster
"Getting major pastel beach vibes here... My first thoughts, it smells JUST like peach yogurt😍 The initial application was so cooling on my skin I didn’t want to take it off! After using it, my skin felt softer and looked plumper. 10/10 a fan! I’m starting to become a fan of the dewy look (despite my hate of my oily skin), and this does a wonderful job of achieving it!" - @_rosegoldglow
Throughout the day the skin on your face is continually covered with bacteria, pollutants, viruses, dirt, and old (dead) skin cells. Daily facial washing removes these impurities to give the skin a fresh look.
ＹＥＳ. ⠀⠀ Say it louder for the bitches in the back (ayy) 🎵 ⠀⠀ But for real though—it is. pH is critical to ensuring efficacy and safety of those active ingredients we all love so much. ⠀⠀ Things to consider: ⠀⠀ ① Many actives require a certain pH to function. For example, AHAs can become medical grade (read: potentially unsafe) at pH less than 3.0. On the other hand, they are completely ineffective above pH 5.5. ⠀⠀ ② pH has a major impact on the potential for sensitising on application. Our skin’s natural pH is 5.5, which is acidic, so it doesn’t like basic (pH > 7) things like soap ❌. Ultra low pH < 3 can cause burning and irritation. This is why many find ascorbic acid products irritating. ⠀⠀ ③ Actives like AHAs are most beneficial at pH near 3.5. Niacinamide and Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate want pH 6 - 6.5. If you mix these things into a giant skincare cocktail, nobody is going to be happy. ⠀⠀ 𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼? Know your product’s pH and let that shit soak in. We suggest waiting 10 minutes between application of differing pH products, but this can vary depending on product consistency, how much you apply, etc. If you layer over an opposing pH item too soon, you will change the pH at your skin’s surface and negate some of your favourite products’ benefits. ⠀⠀ 𝗧𝗜𝗣: your tap water has an impact on pH. Tap water pH can often be near 8 which can be very drying to skin (benefit of toner re-balancing post cleanse!). Also, if you’re applying your exfoliant with tap water on your face, you’re impacting the pH of your AHAs. 🙅♀️ ⠀⠀ Want some more knowledge? I'm a minimalist when it comes to showering. I'll indulge in the very rare bath, but otherwise, I like to be in and out, and don't like having a million products surrounding the tub. Activated charcoal is always a favorite of mine in skincare because it helps to clarify skin by drawing out impurities. The Activated Charcoal Bath Bar by @yardleylondonus is a super affordable, effective option that can be found at any local @walmart. Quality skincare doesn't need to be expensive, and I actually plan to send one to my best friend as she starts prepping her skin for her upcoming wedding! I always followup by moisturizing my body with virgin coconut oil. It's a simple, no nonsense routine that works for me by leaving me with clear, supple skin! yardleylondon.com facebook.com/YardleyLondonUS/ #yardleycharcoal#yardleysoaps#yardleymetime
I like how @peterthomasrothofficial has several lines targeting different and specific skin types and needs because not all skin is created equally. I've used a lot of the masks from them, but this time I tried out the 'Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream' from their 'Water Drench' line. This moisturizer, of course, contains hyaluronic acid which is one of my favorite skin care ingredients due to its ability to retain more than 1000 times its weight in moisture. When I first put it on, it feels very slick, like water, but it ends up getting absorbed quickly, leaving me with moist skin, that is dewy. It made for a great base to build upon my other skincare products, and my skin stayed moist even after I washed it later in the day. It's alcohol free which is important to me because of my sensitive skin, oil free so there isn't a heavy residue, and fragrance free, so no funky smells when you add other products. This is an overall, great mid-range moisturizer that gives you a generous amount of product to treat dry skin and fine lines that is available at your closest @sephora!
@esseskincareusa is an organic, probiotic skincare brand I've been using for the last month. Now there is a lot of science that goes into this natural skincare line that is fascinating, and I would suggest reading up on it on their website, but I want to keep it simple here and talk about my experience with it. I've used the cleanser, toner, nourish moisturizer, and protect oil. My thoughts? I really didn't know what to expect when I first got it. It's had such a minimalist look, that I kind of assumed it would be nice, clean line, but not necessary anything to be excited about. I was wrong! I have LOVED every product in this line, especially the moisturizer that has the most silky, buttery texture and the protect oil that has an amazingly earthy, almost nutty natural fragrance that left me sniffing my hands long after applying it to my face. This is designed specifically for sensitive skin, which is one of my biggest concerns when trying out facial products, and it was absolutely gentle and effective. I love how my natural complexion has been glowing and when I do apply makeup, it goes on so smoothly and blends where it's not even obvious I'm wearing it anyway. Hands down the best line I've tried this year! I would definitely recommend this to anyone whether you have sensitive skin or not! You can check them out at @esseskincareusa
