⠀Truly impressive.
I put this on my stories the other day and felt that it was important to give it a more permanent place. Please read through and keep in mind that I’m not trying to lessen the loss that France has recently witnessed. But something needs to be said about where the elites of our world turn their attention to. The fire blazing above Paris shocked the world and left many wondering what other holders of great history would reach the same tragic destination. Money has already been pouring in by the millions to aid in getting Notre Dame back on her feet. Pinault, CEO of Kering, which owns lux brands like YSL and Gucci, has already shelled over €100 million. Arnault the CEO of LVMH, which owns Louis Vuitton and Möet, coughed up €200 million. All together almost 1 BILLION euros have already been fundraised. But, has anyone stepped back and thought, how many personal homes set ablaze all over the world could be repaired with that kind of money. How many roofs could we put over children's heads, how much food in their mouths, and safety in their minds. It's no doubt Notre Dame is significant. However, if the richest of the rich were to band together in the same way and pulled their focus to those in our world that need it most. Maybe just maybe we'd see a lot less daily human tragedy, injustice and suffering
December 2018. Trdelnik. This dessert pastry actually originates from Transylvania and is called kürtoskalács, but you can find it being sold all over Prague marketed as a traditional pastry although apparently many Czech locals have never heard of it. Regardless, it’s perfect for warming your hands and stomach in the cold winter!

“I’ve been facing lots of changes these past 2 years. Through a crisis of faith, a crisis of confidence and self acceptance. But I am so glad to regain my positive energy back and i just realized how those years meant so much afterward. Love heals the soul. “

The Three Sisters is essentially an unusual rock formation representing three sisters; 'Meehni', 'Wimlah' and 'Gunnedoo', who according to Aboriginal legend were turned to stone. It is the Blue Mountains’ most spectacular landmark. The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colours. ⛰ #amazinggod
Choose to laugh through the bad days, choose to find happiness in the hard situations, choose to stay positive when it would be easier to complain. • Easier said than done, right? 😅 Having this kind of mindset takes practice. It takes catching yourself in a negative moment and choosing to find that positive silver lining. If you do this, in time, it will become your default mindset. • Thought patterns are hard to break. ⛏ If you’re moving from a negative mindset to a positive one, you will have backtracks and days were you feel discouraged because all you think and feel is negativity. • But we all have bad days and no one can be happy and positive 100% of the time. Don’t become more negative because you feel like you can never get the “positivity thing” down and are mad at yourself bc of that. I’ve been there. I’ve felt that way. I’ve been mad at myself for how I was feeling. • Be thankful for your bad days bc they have the power to change you into a better person. They have the power to teach you lessons about yourself so you can grow into the person you want to become. 🌱 • Choose to live with a positive mindset and don’t beat yourself up if you don’t maintain that alllllll of the time. It’s having more positive days than negative ones that counts. 🥰
Living life on the edge. 🙈 But in reality, it’s not really that high. (Check out original framing before the crop in my stories) And in reality, it started drizzling while we were taking this photo. ☔️But the show must go on. So we took couple more shots and made sure we took Vitamin C after. 🙆🏼♀️ How do you fight sickness when traveling? JR and I always bring @emergenc to boost our immune system and prevent getting sick. (Disclaimer: not an ad, just really works for us lol)
Which gate is your favorite? Swipe left to see them all and vote 1,2,3 or 4 in the comments and tell me why! Did you know that there are 4 doorways in the inner courtyard of the City Palace in Jaipur? This beautiful courtyard is called Pritam Niwas Chowk. Although only one doorway is famous on Instagram, all 4 of them are equally impressive. . Each of these doors is unique in its design and decoration, and beautiful to behold. The four doors represent the seasons and different Hindu gods. -> Peacock Gate 🦚 The northeastern peacock gate represents autumn and has a small idol of Lord Vishnu on its lintel. -> Lotus Gate 🌺 The Lotus Gate in the southwest is adorned with dramatic lotus petals and flower patterns. It represents the summer and Lord Shiva. -> Rose Gate 🌹 The winter season is showcased by the Rose Gate. Filled with repeating rose patterns, it is dedicated to Goddess Devi. -> Leheriya Gate 🌊 The fourth gate, also called the Leheriya (waves) gate, is on the northwest side of the courtyard. It is in a gorgeous green color, indicating spring and dedicated to Lord Ganesha.
