These shoes were made for walking. And that’s just what they did. One of these days these shoes are gonna have to be replaced. (end) _________________ I used to be all into “the quality of content that I publish on social media” and blah blah blah. I am proud that I’ve come to the point where I can literally post an accidental photo taken of my shoe with confidence, because it’s not about what the media looks like but the story behind it. I’ve had these shoes for around three years now - they have carried me through almost every formal photo session that I have done since. Unfortunately they are not entirely leather so they are starting to wear off really bad. But boy, do these shoes have a story to tell you.
Some of you may know that I’ve disliked Kohelepelepe (Koko Crater stairs) as a hike in the past. I would say, “Once a year only, if that.” Now you can find me trekking up right before sunset and enjoying sunset from the top and coming down during twilight or darkness. The reason why I disliked it so much was because of the time of day I would go. I hated the mid day heat where it is scorching hot. I never gave it the chance again when it was cooler in the late afternoon. My goal was to get into the 15’s. I’ve reached that goal and am searching for those low 15’s. I’m sure I could do it but I also like looking back on how far I’ve come within the past few months. I was making times like 22 minutes up. It slowly got lower and lower until the end of the year (2018) where I was redlining in the 16’s. I set a New Years goal of getting into the 15’s and shattered my expectations last week. Although it’s always good to be setting the bar higher and higher, we’ve been so accustomed to setting goals and never looking back on what we’ve accomplished. Take some time to see how far you’ve come, be proud of where you’re at now if you’ve accomplished something you really wanted. Look back on yourself and try not to compare yourself to others too much. Spend less time looking and comparing, and more time journaling and bettering yourself! • • • • #kohelepelepe#sunset#goals#canthurtme#panorama#olympuscamera#olympusomd#omdrevolution#olympusinspired#getolympus#omd#em1markii#shotonlexar#microfournerds#luckywelivehawaii#beautifuldayinhawaiinei#venturehawaii#hawaiiunchained#ragehawaii#glimpseofhawaii#ig_oahu

This Nature phenomenon is on my bucket list since I was a kid #aurora#northenlights#sweden#finland#norway#europe#europenature#love#nature#phenomenon#repost .#Repost @neohumanity (@get_repost) ・・・ Let’s start 2019 with this fascinating Timelapse of the Northern Lights. #shotonlexar @lexarmemory . On the day of shooting this timelapse, the temperature was about -15F. I was out until 5am! It was literally insane but I couldn’t give up on shooting. The light from the cabin creating glorious rays with the steam coming out of the hot springs while magnificent aurora illuminating and dancing on the sky! . My Alaska Trip was about pushing the limit and being uncomfortable to crate some contents that really matters! . I am extremely passionate for what I do and what I create. But when I get to work with people like @explorefairbanks and @chenahotsprings, I get to create magic. And I am so grateful to everyone for making my Alaska Trip so incredible. Thank you @explorefairbanks for everything 🙏🏻☺️
