DOES YOUR SQUAT LOOK LIKE THIS? ๐ŸŒฎ  The taco squat, falling forward... whatever you call it, when you’re falling forward in the squat it might be for one of these reasons  1. Your trying to keep too narrow of a stance  2. You’re trying to ‘sit back’ into the squat and not let the knees pass over the toes  3. You lack ankle mobility  1. Open up those hips and widen your stance so you actually have room to sit into a squat!  2. Forget the myth that your knees can’t pass over your toes. Stop sitting back like you’re sitting on a chair behind you (I’m guilty of thinking that was how best to squat when I started too!), and instead push the knees out and think about sitting directly down into the Squat  3. If you lack ankle mobility, I have a whole other video on exercises to change that! But in the meantime, elevating your heels in the squat will offset this  Go get it ๐Ÿ’“โญ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿฝ

Steps to a STRONG hourglass figure ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ . Maybe you know, maybe you don’t know yet, but making strength gains feels SO GOOD ๐Ÿ˜Š Talk about empowering! . Strength training comes with a number of mental & physical benefits.. One being a bangin’ bod. Yep. Strong is sexy. Confidence is sexy. Whatever you truly feel your best at is sexy . So I don’t blame you for not only striving to become the strongest version of you, but also wanting to look good while you’re at it . 1๏ธโƒฃ A strength training program utilizing progressive overload - meaning, resistance train, & constantly challenge your body! You can create more difficulty with more reps, higher weights, training muscle groups more frequently, trying new exercises, supersetting, dropsetting, changing tempo, pause reps, etc etc. This also keeps it interesting, win! ๐ŸŒŸ . 2๏ธโƒฃ Do not neglect muscle groups, but focus on hypertrophy more where you’d like to accentuate ๐Ÿ™‚ You can increase your strength & muscle size at the same time. A balanced physique is best for functionality, but you can still manipulate how your body looks by targeting muscles you’d specifically like to grow using progressive overload . 3๏ธโƒฃ Actually create the hourglass โŒ›๏ธ (WHICH, by the way, everyone can build to an extent with the body they’re given yay!). The idea is to create the illusion of a smaller waist. You can reduce your waist size by eating a healthy diet with moderation & being active, but there isn’t a healthy or sustainable way to get someone else’s teeny tiny waist without their genetics. Yours can only be a certain size & that size should be healthy!! BUT, this doesn’t mean you can’t strive for the hour glass . Build your upper body & lower body, creating that whole illusion of a smaller waist. More specifically ~ . โœจ Building shoulders creates a more broad upper body โœจ Building your back creates the V โœจ Building glutes can balance that out & sometimes create a wider base, & โœจ
One of the best fundamental exercises for runners for glute activation and building strength is the glute bridge.  Because of their effectiveness, little to no equipment required and the capability to progress and regress based on one's current abilities/needs, bridges and bridge variations are a staple in mine and my athletes' programming.  Once an athlete has mastered a basic glute bridge (back and both feet on the floor), we are able to progress to more challenging bridges like elevated, single leg and/or with added resistance. After slowing down my focus on bench I wanted to see if I could still hit my PR (80lbs). CREATINE - molecule that is used to help create ATP(source of energy that keeps everything going) quickly. Supplemental creatine allows you to maximize your muscular stores thus resulting in an improved ability to generate ATP. Over time, this leads to increased work capacity, power output, and lean body mass. Because you’ll be able to generate ATP more quickly, over time, you’ll be able to do more reps per set and more sets per workout. This will lead to increased strength and muscle mass over time. Take 5g daily. Cycling on and off is unnecessary. When? Doesn’t matter. Creatine builds up in the system over time.  BETA ALANINE -  one of the essential building blocks of muscle carnosine. Carnosine acts as a celluar buffer to acid in the muscles. When you lift, ATP is broken down and lactic acid is released. Carnosine combats the acidic effects of the aforementioned byproducts thus delaying time to fatigue. If you perform any sets that take ~60+ seconds (~8+ reps) Beta-Alanine is going to help increase performance or you might be able to squeeze out another rep and/or perhaps last a few more sets. CAN’T ENGAGE YOUR HAMSTRINGS? . If you struggle to hit that awesome stretch when hitting hamstrings and glutes then this is a must have to incorporate into your workout! . Why? Reason: because where you are loading the weight you can really focus on pushing back into the RDL position, shifting all of the weight onto your heals. Imagine trying to push your butt against a wall (trust me this helps when you visualise this) . The stretch is crazy and this WORKS like hell! . Getting to that point in prep where anything goes! Had some posing this morning after cardio and abs. Then remembered that I had a doctors appointment to get to...so I raced here suit n all hah!! Now back to the gym to eat work and train hard. . . Although I may not be able to keep my schedule straight or my ducks in a row. I am focusing on at least having the docs on the same farm. That being said, my supplement regimen is the easiest for me to keep straight because I love it all, how it makes me feel and my results from it. Consistency is key!

Later this year or next I will also be studying  and taking courses to be a nutritionist! I’m not posting videos as much because I REALLY love just busting it out in the gym and not taking overextended breaks to record! - - Workout •walk/run for 10 minutes •3 sets of pushups AMRAP! ( I did 60) •Db bench  and Db tricep kickbacks •slow Db incline bench with a hold and slow Db close grip incline press •banded high crossovers and banded tricep pushdowns •TRX ab/chest/ tricep variations • 2 sets of pull-ups AMRAP
