A little dose of equal parts believing and hope does the soul good!! ⠀⠀ Last night in yoga class @thefunkyom Milard talked about an instance where he shared a hope and dream, and something he believed he could do well, with others. They tried to talk him out of it. ⠀⠀ Then, Milard encouraged us to be mindful of when we are unknowingly taking hope away from others, most likely based on our own insecurities. ⠀⠀ I think we’ve all been on the receiving end of someone taking a little hope and belief out of our hearts. Often, it happens after we muster up the courage to share our hopes. This reaction can lead to us not wanting to hope for things or believing in the big stuff. ⠀⠀ I loved exploring this- both when I’ve been on the receiving end or when I’ve possibly done it to someone else. Thanks for always giving us things to think about @thefunkyom It’s helping to make us better people one class at a time!! ⠀⠀

Hold your breath for 7 sec, then exhale slowly for 8 sec. 🔹LAUGH.

When it rains, it pours... but all that rain leads to growth.  My day = so crappy, but don’t get me wrong, I shouldn’t be complaining.  I’m cleansing/detoxing and today is only day 2 and I feel like crying.  It’s hard.  It’s so hard.  This morning I woke up with stomach pains, went to work to a shit storm, and came home to our elderly dog whimpering in severe pain so we rushed to the emergency vet.  Husband has been working till 9-10 pm but was fortunate enough to meet us at the vet.  I. Am. Over. It. I. Want. To. Give. Up. I. Feel. Like. A. Failure.  All of that went through my mind a trillion times day but I came home, cooked up something in my cleanse book, and put my big girl pants on (no I actually I took it all off because clothes suffocate me sometimes 😂). As I sit on the floor letting my sweet baby girl lay on me, I realize:  I’m. Fine. We. Are. All. Fine. It’s. Going. To. Be. Okay.  Bad. Days. Are. Normal. Daisy girl either: has a bad sprain, or worse case scenario: bone cancer.  We will find out soon.  We adopted this sweet Great Dane when she was 6 years old, and now she’s approaching 9.  She’s our baby. So any love you want to send her way, she’ll gladly take it.  Any love you want to send my way, I’ll take it too. 💕

i love food ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ like, i LOVE food. i’m talking about the really really good kind. the kind of food that makes you think about what you’re going to eat next, gets you excited, and that’s meant to be shared with others ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ and i love health. if it has anything to do with living a healthier life - count me in🙌🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ but i HATE what the health industry has done to food. the demonization and over exaggeration of what is or isn’t considered healthy ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i hate when people express how they are living the “carb life” when they travel through Europe. as if it’s all those cultures eat or it’s a bad thing // causing beliefs like travel = overeating “bad” food groups ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i hate the phrase “cheat meal.” how is it a cheat if it’s meant for your mental health as opposed to physical health? maybe it’s just me, but i feel like what’s going on in our head 🧠 is more important than how we look...so why cheat ourselves and miss out on the joy and making memories? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ and i hate how i have to admit that the reason i can go on and on about this is because i was that person. i get it. but i’ve learned food can’t hurt you, it’s your relationship with food that can. so cheers!!🍦🍨 to making it a really good relationship in our lives 💛

Pilates Fix is in the books for today! It’s been an interesting week so far. With sick babies and just all around busyness, this week has not gone as planned. I’m seeing some great results with my workouts though. I used to not be able to hold a plank for more than a couple seconds and now I can hold for the full 60 seconds. I know my core is getting stronger and I’m starting the see a difference in my legs. They’re starting to slim down and tone up which is so nice to finally see for myself. I’ve had people comment on the changes they’re seeing but we’re usually the last to see it. Why is that? But, my daily is just some simple Savvy Minerals from Young Living in neutral tones to get me out the door.  This is not a step down for me.....this is an upgrade!! I love the glow I get with this line.  I don’t really need to be runway ready to chase kids, but I can get a pretty good contour and highlight or just bronze up for a busy day! ⁣ ⁣ Yes, I will probably sweat it off like I do every other brand I have worn, but at least I don’t have synthetic chemicals being absorbed into my sweat 💦 holes, so there is that!! The truth, is that I learned years ago I am the only one deciding what to do with my time - so I do what I prioritize. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This mentality isn’t easy. It feels 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛𝙞𝙨𝙝, 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙨𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙚. But not doing the things you need to to reach your goals is much worse...𝙪𝙣𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙚𝙭𝙝𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙, 𝙪𝙣𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚.  How do you prioritize a mile long to do list? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1️⃣Pick your top 3-4 things to get done that day. I like to balance them between family, health, work and me time. 2️⃣Find blocks of time during the day you can get these done in. These blocks are a few hours long and not specific. Think “early morning” and “mid afternoon” 3️⃣Set a foal for when you want to be done by. Keeping your mind focused on when to be done vs when to start has helped take a lot of pressure off making sure I am out of the house at a specific time. And it helps me get through Target for under $200 of I get a late start 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You can feel freedom with your schedule!
