Virtual assisting can be very demanding work and because it's usually done solo, it's also easy to get lonely, stressed, and burnt out. I know because I've been there. . . .  Here are a 10 self care tips to help you stay sane and happy. If we're being honest, it's only when you are happy and in the right frame of mind you can serve your clients well. Don't forget to bookmark this post and refer to it as needed. . . . 💆🏽‍♀️Get at least 6 hours of sleep every day. Wake up and sleep at the same time so your body is used to a routine 💆🏽‍♀️Work out for at least 10 minutes three times a week. There are many 10 minute workout on Youtube you can use that are very effective (e.g Fitness Blender) 💆🏽‍♀️Stay hydrated. Aim for 1.5 litres of water everyday. Drinking water helps you stay energised and flushes out toxins in your body. 💆🏽‍♀️Take a break. Between your work hours, aim for at least a one hour break away from your work desk to eat and destress 💆🏽‍♀️Maintain a healthy support system. This could be family or friends that care about your wellbeing. Good clients are great but they can't replace loved ones 💆🏽‍♀️Practise your hobby at least once a week. This could be reading, playing a sport, swimming, painting, singing, etc. Actively make time for this at least once a week in your calendar and stick to whatever time you have decided. 💆🏽‍♀️Organize your work space. A cluttered work space inevitably leads to a cluttered mind. Make sure your work desk is clear, organized and clutter-free so your mind also feels same 💆🏽‍♀️Keep your inbox organized. Set aside regular blocks of time to check your inbox and keep it clutter-free as well. When you have 100+ pending emails to respond to, you'll naturally feel hurried and stressed. 💆🏽‍♀️Take a minute to breathe.
