@billnye is great because he is #smart and #funny. My favorite thing he talks about is energy, like the time he made a car run on food, asked my mom to watch is over and over! #billnye #science #littlescientist #1stgradescience #professorjosh

Astronomer Edwin Hubble revolutionized the field of astrophysics. His research helped prove that the universe is expanding, and he created a classification system for galaxies that has been used for several decades. Please follow me: -@neildegrassetyson_young
Tag someone who needs to understand this 🤔💭 . Just because things get better or worse when you use a product doesn't mean that the product is the cause. Things might just have gone back to their normal state. . Things might have gotten better / worse without the product. This concept is known as regression to the mean. It is why we need control groups in research. . A classic example is people seeking healthcare when they feel the sickest. This already means that they statistically will feel better the next day if they have a common cold or bronchitis. Unfortunately, some doctors prescribe antibiotics to these patients and they end up giving antibiotics the credit for feeling better. In reality antibiotics don't help a common cold or bronchitis in otherwise healthy individuals (1). . This is a problem since unnecessary prescribing of antibiotics increases the risk of superbug development and worsens the effect of future treatments for people who really need it. .
