Hapoy dog life, running free in nature gszing around. The fresh grass is smelling good. Traces of the fox crossing our path. Dogs are longing for all those little adventural moments. Its all natural to them, inspecting the surroundings. At the moment, they must be on the leash, when we cross the forest. The does are pregnant and may not be disturbed by wild dogs. After all those not everyday impressions, Jackson and Apache, our dogs are tired. They lay down in the camping car and dream actively.
When we hiked the Solheimajokull glacier in Iceland, we learned from our guide that sadly this glacier has been melting rapidly beginning after the Industrial Revolution. In Iceland about 11 billion tons of glacial ice melt due to global warming every year. Human influence, the greenhouse effect, gas emissions and aerosols, are the main perpetrators. The consequences of this melting are significant. What kind of world do we want for ourselves, our kids, our grandkids? It is up to all of us to do our bit to protect this amazing and beautiful planet so that incredible places like this as well as our way of life are not lost to us in the future. Every little bit helps—recycling, using reusable shopping bags, limiting water use, buying clothing less frequently, using re-usable cloths instead of paper towels, buying eco-friendly products, etc. Even if you committed to just one of these it would make a difference. Help protect this amazing planet so we aren’t the last ones who get to enjoy it 🌎 #earthday#iceland
