We all need support at this time of year. As we approach the shortest day and the amount of daylight hours is still decreasing, then recuperative yoga with props is a must.  Using the chair I’m moving from supported salamba sarvangasana, to niralamba sarvangasana to supported halasana.  This time of year our bodies tend to curl inwards and close off. Through the many yoga poses we do in our practice, inner organs are being squeezed, twisted, massaged and stimulated with increased bloodflow. In certain postures, some bodily fluids (lymph etc.) will run in certain directions, and inner organs get a chance to empty themselves properly. This is also why we do not practice asana with food in our bellies.  There are many reasons for being upside down. One aspect of those reasons, is to give the inner organs a chance to empty properly. The gallbladder is an organ where bile can build up and become stale and form gallstones. Gallstones hurt. Through all the poses we do, we give such organs a good chance of emptying and cleaning themselves out. This is also why some people experience detox symptoms, such as headache or nausea in the beginning of their yoga asana practice. Old stuff, or toxins, is being released and needs to be cleaned out by the inner organs, excreted through the skin, lungs or urine.  This is why it is a good idea to drink more water than regularly after your yoga practice. Putting lime or lemon in the water helps the liver to activate to start cleaning out the old unuseful stuff. This is one aspect of saucha, the second niyama. These are exercises you can do to activate and set that core on 🔥🔥 🎥: @jenniferkirschfitness  Well, this felt pretty great!  Using 2 resistance bands here.  Keep upper back and shoulders and head rooted to the mat. The bands assist with pulling legs away from the ground, but notice how slowly I’m moving... using core control to do that one vertebrae at a time. Ditto for when my legs and lower back are moving back toward the mat. Kendimi bildim bileli hep bir hareket halindeyim. Bir yaşıma bile gelmeden harekete geçip, yürüyüp gitmem bile manidar. Sokaklarda, parklarda parandeler,taklalar atmalarım yeni değil yani çocukken de böyleydim ya da hala çocuk gibiyim. Evde hiç bişi yapamasam ayaklarımı duvara dayar öyle yatardım. Hep bi aksiyon peşinde olmamın sırrını 40 yaşına kadar nasıl olmuşta keşfedememişim. Çok basitmiş.  Nedenleri bende saklı kalsın ama baş edemediğim içimde patlayacak gibi olduğum her kriz sonrası bir spor ile uğraşmışım. Sanırım krizin etkileri gidene kadar da o sporu sürdürmüşüm. Bir de galiba yaşıma göre seçmişim :) Misal yogaya 20 yaşında başlamamışım ( Zaten o zaman Türkiyede bir yoga stüdyosu yoktu) O vakitler dans etmişim,koşmuşum, yüzmüşüm, dalmışım, kaymışım...Çalkantılı bir hayatım varmış sanırım. En son tenis hocam bu sporu ileri yaşlarda da yapabilirsin derken neyi ima etmiş olabilir acaba! Ben şöyle özetledim kendimi ; altüst olan ruhumsa bedenimi altüst edince yoluna giriyor her şey.(Ters duruşları sevmemin nedeni bu olabilir mi?) İçinde sıkışan enerjiye bir yol göster ki çıksın. Oturduğun sürece o da içinde oturuyor işte anla artık kalk hareket et. Kitaplar, hocalar da şöyle diyor; sağlıklı bir bedene sahip olursanız, sağlıklı bir ruh ve zihin kaçınılmaz sonuçtur. . . A aula de sábado foi mais que especial! Tivemos aula de hot yoga. Dois aquecedores na sala.  Não tem muito tempo que comecei a fazer yoga, mas foi amor à primeira vista... Cada aula é uma novidade. Uma evolução. Um desafio.  Nessa primeira foto, dá pra comparar... na minha primeira aula de yoga fiz o sarvangasana(tem foto aqui no feed) e agora já consigo fazê-lo sem as mãos. La postura del pez, #fishpose #matsyasana, es un #backbend (extensión, apertura del pecho) sencillo en el que alargamos el cuello y la garganta, abrimos el pecho y apoyamos la coronilla en el suelo. Por sus características suele realizarse como contra postura de #sarvangasana – la vela- y #halasana -el arado-, posturas sobre los hombros en las cuales la barbilla está fuertemente contraída y el cuello extendido.  Algunos de sus beneficios a nivel corporal son: apertura de la caja torácica y expansión de las costillas; aumento de la capacidad pulmonar, #estiramiento de la espalda, ayuda a mejorar la postura porque los hombros trabajan hacia atrás, es #relajante y #libera tensión.
