As a sport, cross country tends not to produce the same sort of highlights as, say, a rugby or soccer match so for a photographer it is important to look for other tools to help with image making One of the best things about shooting the cross country is that the races start quite early in the day — not as early as some of the rowing events I covered over summer but the sun does rise a touch later at this time of year And what that means is, so long as it’s not wet and miserable, the light is generally very good And occasionally the image becomes more about the light than the competitor With the season now in full swing I have added a page to my website devoted entirely to cross country (peterwade.photography/play/cross-country/) The images featured are mostly from 2019 but a couple from last year seem to have snuck in as well! Easy 3 mile run tonight breaking in my new #runningshoes 🏃🏻♀️😁 (one 6% hill for 1/2 a mile that you can definitely see in my heartrate 😂🥵) Im getting used to my fancy new @proform #treadmill 🤓🤓🤓 (well, new to me anyways 😉 thanks dad!) Its seriously awesome! It can decline to 3%, incline to 15%, and link to all these different workouts if you choose. Side note: I've been dealing with this ANNOYING heel pain since March and I got some advice to try a minimally cushioned running shoe. Hopefully the ability to feel more of my landing will help me correct whatever it is about my foot strike that is causing this. So that's why I opted for the #adidasadizero adios 4. And I've been spending less time on the pavement. So fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤓🤓🤓 Any running pains bugging you?? Ever experienced heel pain? Any tips??

Morning happy Wednesday friends! So glad I was able to get up early and get these 3 miles done 🏃🏽♀️✔️ I couldn’t sleep very well last night so surprisingly I got up and felt good! Even got a sub 9 pace which is fast for me lol ☺️🙌 Using an old photo from 6 months ago on Christmas Eve when I had to dress up a little showing off my little heel lol 😆 Have a great day ✌️
Jack knives... do you do them? One of the top workouts for runners. After one set, flip over to a plank for 1 minute, then repeat this process 3 times. Happy Wednesday friends. Only 1 week till 4th of July weekend and a possible extra day off, or two 😉
Track night! 🎉 Tonight’s session was a really good pyramid, focusing on shorter reps and hitting faster paces 🏃🏻♀️ I’ve been testing out new types of sessions lately and have been loving the variety! Next week I’m thinking a tempo into track session 🤔

I know running’s not for everyone but I still believe there’s a runner in all of us regardless of distance. After a busy start to the day with school drop offs, class, W9D3 of TheBod program (bench press, push press, upright rows, a little toe2bar work) and lunch catch up with a good friend I could not resist a short quickie run before school pick up. What a glorious Sunny Winters day! Lapping up whatever sunshine we get b4 the rain comes. Why do I run? It’s my therapy lol...in all seriousness I love the challenge and how it brings out my inner competitiveness, that determination even when you think you can’t go any further. Running makes me feel ALIVE and leaves me on a euphoric ‘runners high.’ It’s that change of scenery and variety of training that keeps me motivated. Never take for granted an able moving body. Be proud & celebrate your achievements, big or small. When you don’t feel like exercising (I have these days too) just remember those that are not able to. It is a privilege we get to do. Exercise is about being grateful for the body you have (irrespective of shape) and sustaining the life you have. The more you move... The better you get 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽. Clocked up a lot of mileage in the last 7 days. Rested last night and hit the gym today. Today was about keeping it a bit more functional, so ran to the gym, hit a 1km row, 5km high level on the bike followed by kettlebell swings and up to 40 burpees. Then I ran home 🙌🏽🙌🏽🏃🏽🏃🏽. Have a little belief in yourself and keep grinding & training. Eat clean (ish) 🤣 and you'll start to see results & live better 🙌🏽🙌🏽😎
Mijn mooiste hardloop moment blijft toch de City tour van #runruntours in Parijs deze had ik gekregen van mijn vrouw voor ons huwelijks jubileum. Geweldig om al hardlopend deze mooie stad te leren kennen . Het belangrijkste moment op hardloop gebied is zeker mijn PR geweest tijdens de 10k #dorpmetvaartloop in Nieuw-Amsterdam (time to beat) #beatyesterday Hopelijk word dit moment binnenkort vervangen door een nog belangrijker (sneller) moment . Met ruime voorsprong op de 1e plek wat betreft het zwaarste moment is de #tribeaufortrun in België, niet alleen was dit de langste wedstrijd die ik ooit liep maar ik had ook nog eens last van buikkrampen gedurende de hele 18k. Al vechtend tegen de afstand en de krampen toch de finish gehaald en was het uiteindelijk weer een geweldige ervaring. .
