👉 DESAFÍO 14k, DÍA 10: los 14k de hoy fueron con TEMPO RUN. Uno de mis entrenamientos favoritos: . ✔️ Primeros 2k suaves de entrada en calor ✔️ Bloque de 10k Tempo (promedio 4:36 por km) ✔️ 2k suaves de vuelta a cslma. . 👉 ¿Por que todos los días 14k? Algunos lo preguntaron (y yo también!!) y mí entrenador @patacoach respondió en uno de los comentarios de los anteriores. . 👉 Dice que al yo correr varias maratones y ultramaratones seguidas él pone en mí plan esta distancia "para nivelar cargas. Me permite, en personas que tienen muchos kms en las piernas, mantenerlos en resistencia y trabajar intensidades (velocidad) sin perder la forma. No es un entreno corto y no es un trabajo de fondo real tampoco pero vas al final de la semana y ves una interesante cantidad de kms acumulada" . 👉 Y es así que vamos acumulado en estas semanas algo más se 100k en cada una. Can’t believe it’s already been a week since I geared up with these two beauties for a “light” 3k for #runfortheoceans🌊🌞 . Crazy story, I used to be a competitive cross country runner in middle school/high school. And at one point held the title as fastest female runner in the province. . Now I’m old and my knees are shot so I don’t run competitively anymore (the day after was a reminder why lol😂) but I compromise, now I just lift weights and do the occasional HIIT workout. . Since I grew up and spent a lot of time near the ocean and in nature events like these are always close to my heart. I haven’t been as active in the community as I’d like in the past 2 years with my transition to a new city - but I vowed to get involved in as many community building events as I can over the next few years. #runfortheoceans2019 being one of these events! Last summer I helped with shore line clean up in Halifax while I was visiting during my vacation and it really put things into perspective when you see how much garbage washes up on the beach. Here’s to doing our part and taking the harmful effects that ocean plastics can have on our ecosystem seriously.💪🏼 . Also shout out to @fitnursepreneur for inviting me to such a great event!👌🏼❤️
Run For The Oceans - @adidasau has teamed up with @parley.tv for a great cause. They aim to reduce the amount of plastic waste in our oceans by educating younger generations on the massive effects of our actions and also pledging to continue to create shoes and clothing from recycled plastic from our oceans. We’re stunned to see the numbers: 1.524.741 participants in total, running a combined 8853556.08km! WOW!
