i guess i'm on a roll with these savory bowls! again, i made good use of leftovers with this one. i included leftover roasted sweet potatoes, some couscous (it's hidden under lol), sauteed eggplant and spinach with soy sauce and rice vinegar, chopped parsley, the @traderjoes everything but the bagel seasoning that i'm still obsessed with and finally some MISO EGGS! omg guys i tried this recipe for the first time after seeing it pop up everywhere like on @netflix's salt, acid, fat, heat series and from @christinatosi! i highly recommend it's SO GOOD. you get the same satisfaction of the classic hard boiled egg with a slightly salty hit. i've missed having boiled eggs, but they're amazing! and this takes them to the next level. filling, nourishing, tasty and super convenient for meal prep! hope you guys are liking these savory renditions :)) i'm trying to get more creative! 🤗🤗❤️

We’re attempting to move back into our house this weekend and starting to pack for our trip to Mexico next week. (Yep, paid for by jBloom! Hello, unlimited margaritas!) Anyway, I thought I’d share this quick Asian Slaw recipe I whipped up for my Lewisburg Cookbook Club meeting last week. It’s kind of a potluck staple and Knight and I definitely went through a phase where we made it every week one summer! 🤣 Maybe it’s because I’m craving fun in the sun, but this salad definitely hit the spot. Here’s what goes in it: 2 bags of broccoli slaw 3-4 spring onions Jar of mandarin oranges Small bag of peas 2 pack of Ramen Noodles Small bag of slivered almonds McCormick Zesty Italian dressing mix Sesame Oil Rice Vinegar Soy Sauce Optional-sugar Mix together the dressing- McCormick seasoning mix, sesame oil, rice vinegar, about a tablespoons soy sauce. I kind of “eyeballed” everything. You could also add some sugar to sweeten it up or substitute the sesame oil for peanut oil. Place dressing aside. Mix together broccoli slaw, oranges, defrosted peas, and sliced onion. Next crunch up the ramen and sprinkle on top. (Toss our the seasoning pack.) Sprinkle on the slivered almonds, drizzle on the dressing, and toss together. So easy and such fun flavors!! This batch serves a crowd - like 10-12 people. (Though it doesn’t seem to last long in our house!) Does anyone else have an Asian Slaw recipe? What do you put in yours? #asianslaw#sesameoil#ricevinegar#ramenrecipe#mccormickseasoning

In the spirit of trying new things in 2019, jumped on the dan dan noodles bandwagon tonight. This is a veggie (almost certainly vegan but I haven’t checked all the sauce ingredients) version of @guardianfeast / @felicitycloake’s Perfect recipe using mushrooms and celery in place of pork mince and shop bought (vegan) kimchi and capers in place of the preserved Chinese vegetables. Had a little too much chilli oil in the sauce when mixed with the noodles for eating - you can just see the fiery redness in the bottom left corner. Not sure why or how as it tasted fine when I took a sip before serving up, (maybe a quantity issue?). Anyway, it was lovely. Cleared out the cobwebs and nasal passages for sure! And (committed meat eater) Mr Hurtlepuss didn’t comment about the lack of meat so that’s a ringing endorsement. Maybe worth trying for your vegan month @fowlmouthsfood?
