⠀⠀⠀A few days ago, I was in a state of distress, I didn't know how everything will work out and I just wanted an end to this confusion, when one of my friend posted these lines as her status "this too shall pass" and I cannot explain to you how hopeful and relieved I felt. It was as if I just needed these words to echo in my mind and everything else will sort itself out for itself. ⠀I decided to take in what I have now and do my best with what I can to at this very moment instead of worrying about the pile of unsorted decisions and hurdles that I have to face in future. It isn't that I don't feel distressed or confused anymore; I still do from time to time, but I have kept these words close in my memory to remind myself on every step that I take forward "THIS TOO SHALL PASS" ⠀⠀⠀📌 Tag someone who needs to hear this. Maybe you could lift their burden a little.
Hello everyone, it's been a few days that I posted. There are few things to come in this post. I lost my 30 days non fiction challenge thanks to my disturbed sleep later taken over by my toothache. I'm having extraction today so I need lots of prayers and anesthesia 😂😂 Second, I got my second book in collection which is technically first in the series. Presenting you the hp illustrated version of book 1. Trust me these are beyond words!! 😍😍 Third, this post on today marks my one year in Bookstagram. People who have been following me before that knew I had a Bookstagram two years back as well. But I deleted my account and got back after a long pause with this account. So, here I am standing with first anniversary of my Bookstagram. So today you guys are more than welcome to share your feedback about my content and stuff you see here. I rarely network on dm which leads to really less comments here but I would be glad if you stop by and share your genuine feedback #readersofinstagram#bookstagram#bookstagrammers#amreading#readabook#readinglife#readersdiary

Book stacks like these make my momma heart so happy. When your oldest begs to go to the library because she has run out of books...how can you say no to that?!? The librarian asked how long it’ll take her to read these...do y’all wanna guess? I’ll give you a hint...she reads faster than many adults 🤣

Claire G. Coleman is one of a growing number of Indigenous Australian authors who are rapidly growing in popularity and critical acclaim. Terra Nullius was shortlisted for a bunch of awards last year and tells a tale that should be familiar one. Every Australian should know the origins of the title which refers to the legal mindset of European invaders who declared that Australia was a land of nothing and therefore there were no people of any consequence who they would need to negotiate with or conquour to take possession of the great southern land. Of course, this is abhorrent and inaccurate and paved the way for future and continuing oppression of our First Nations people. At first, this story seems to be a familiar one with powerful colonisers committing heinous acts of violence against vastly under resourced natives, missions where sadists hide behind religious doctrine when perpetuating physical and psychological violence against their native wards. However, Coleman utilises this familiar story to renovate the speculative fiction (SF) genre and things are not quite as they seem. As we follow the native Jacky as he escapes slavery and plunges into the bush in search of his parents, followed closely by the brutal and bloodthirsty troopers, I was confused by Coleman's ultra realist narration because I knew that this was a SF novel. Without giving anything away, keep reading until the middle and all will become clear! All I can say is that this is one of the greatest literary slight of hands i've had the pleasure of reading and that the world Coleman creates that snaps into focus half way through is an extremely insightful and clever reimagining of Australia. At its heart, the novel is about the fundamental humanity of all cultures and peoples, and reveals the capacity for individuals to do great harm as well as great good. It is a nuanced and sensitive retelling of the shameful past of Australian politics in a new and fresh way. I really cannot wait to read her
An absolute delight on the values of the reading life and what it means to be a ‘book girl ‘. This book is for a very particular sort of person and I just so happen to be that person 😁so, I loved it. I got tons of new book recommendations from this!! I liked how the book lists were organized around specific themes such as spiritual classics, novels to cope with a broken world, or books about brave and faithful women. Sarah includes a lot of C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, and Wendell Berry on her lists, but I pretty much agree with her taste there. Overall, this is a wonderful book for a young, Christian woman who loves to read and is looking for some new book recommendations! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! #whatrachreads#bookstagram#booklove#currentlyreading#bookgirl#booklists#bookstagrammer#readinglife
