QOTD: last book you’ve read? 🌸 Look at all these books! You know what’s special about them? They all have asexual characters (ok so technically Down Among the Sticks and Bones doesn’t, but Every Heart a Doorway does, that one just wasn’t grey). I can’t believe how little books with (good) asexual representation there are. Definitely not enough! Not that these books are all there are ofcourse 😅
A Game of Thrones, book one ⚔️ • I am so glad I decided to read these books! I wish that I had read them before I watched the show, but either way I’m glad I picked them up. ⚔️ • Reading the books for sure gives more depth to these characters. Martin has this way about completely immersing you in the world he has created and it’s absolutely spellbinding. The details that the show left out are sparse in the first book, but those details really gave me a deeper understanding on the characters’ intentions. Also, in the books Robb, Jon, and Dany are like 15! In the show the seemed much older to me. I’m so excited to see how they grow throughout the books. After devouring the first book I’m ready to move on to A Clash of Kings! I’m excited to see when the books and show start deviating because even though I love reading the books, I’m a little sad that I already know what happens! I’ll be glad for some unforeseen plot twists! Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because I adore Game of Thrones! ⚔️ • • • #books#book#bookish#bookstagram#booking#read#reader#reading#reads#bookobsessed#bookblog#blogger#bookblogger#shelfie#shelves#booklover#readingisawesome#gameofthrones#agameofthrones#got#gotbooks#gameofthronesbooks#gameofbooks#summerreading
Prvních 100 stran vypadalo slibně, ta historická linka i o něco déle. Ale. Pak se tam naprosto padle začali objevovat duchové, kněží, kteří "horkou linkou k Bohu umí s duchy bojovat" vraždy a do toho ty postavy byly fakt otravné. ⭐ --- #bibliophile#book#bookaholic#bookcommunity#booklover#booknerd#bookphotography#books#bookstagram#ilovebooks#instabook#kniha#pravectu#justread#read#reading#readingisawesome#readmore#vicecasunacteni#nejtemnejsihodina#erskin#thedarkesthour
☺💕 #bookstagram#bookfriends#books#reading#bücherstadt#akramelbahay#author#writing#mylove#fantasy#fandom#booklove#readingisawesome#fantastic#myworld#childhood#love#spring (Werbung)#unbezahlt
QOTD: is there a cover you’d like to change? And what would you change? 🌸 I love exclusive covers, but this one is really amazing. The sprayed pages follow the exact colour of the cover, it’s so beautiful 🥰 it’s just an added bonus to how amazingly diverse this book is, there are só many queer characters and it’s so inclusive! I’m a happy Michelle 😊
💚I recently finished reading Matched by Ally Condie, and I LOVED the first book!! It was like The Giver by Lois Lowry meets PS I Still Love You by Jenny Han. 💚And I realized the WEIRDEST thing while reading this YA novel: my daughter is closer to the main character’s age than I am 😳. What!? I’m not one who is usually like, “Oh, I’m so old”, but that was such a strange realization to me. 💚So the main character is 17, my daughter is almost 8, and this year I turn 32 (I think...yes, 32). I always like to imagine myself as the main character, and this is the first time I imagined my daughter sometimes as the main character. I felt myself starting to worry about the main girl, Cassia, like, “Oh gosh, baby, don’t take on the scary government by yourself!” And, “Oh, it’s so cute to see you falling in love for the first time!” It was different for sure. 🧐 But I seriously loved this book. 💚Anyway, for those of you who don’t know, here is what it’s about: A girl receives her perfect “match” at 17, and this person will eventually become her husband. Matches are done by a sophisticated system and people live happy lives with their matches. BUT when Cassia sees two people appear as her match, it leaves her confused. She is told the first one was an error. Although she is pleased with her real match, her curiosity of the other boy leads her on a whole new adventure. 💚I LOVE love triangles, even though they stress me out a little bit. 😜 Also, I swear I am always rooting for the boy who doesn’t end up being picked... I guess we will see if this is another one of those as I listen on. I am listening to book two now! Yay!
QOTD: paperback or hardcover? 🌸 All of these books feature m/m relationships, and since I definitely prefer hardcover, I can’t understand why most of these are paperback 😂 but the format doesn’t change the story and I love all of these so much❤️
Name: My Mute Girlfriend Writer: Himanshu Rai Publication date: 10 February, 2018 ISBN-10: 9387022145 ISBN-13: 978-9387022140 Pages: 216 pages Price: Rs.195 Format: Paperback Rating: ★★★.5 Blurb: Rohan is a telecom professional posted in Meerut and misses his girlfriend from college days, who had stopped interacting with him, without giving any reason. Although she had always stood by his side and her eyes reflected immense love, but she remained his mute girlfriend. The book opens with an SMS from Vaidehi to Rohan, after five long years. But before he could reply, his mobile gets damaged and he wanders in his memories to narrate a story. About how his girlfriend became his mute girlfriend after the first year of their engineering college. My Mute Girlfriend is a true romance story of how Rohan unravels the answers to why Vaidehi was mute for so long and how their life is about to change. But little do they know that the worst is yet to come. Likes: ♥ The language used by the author is simple and easy to understand. ♥ The story is a perfect blend of emotions. ♥ I was glad that the story didn't focus ONLY on the love story but rather described the hostel and college experiences as well. ♥ I adored the bond between Rohan and his sister, Bhumi. It felt so relatable. ♥ The relationship between Navya and Rohan was extremely cute and I wouldn't have minded if their story was a little longer. ♥ The climax of the story was totally unexpected. Dislikes: 💔 The letters written by Navya, Vineet and Anurag seemed unnecessary. I think a conversation would have made more sense. 💔 There are a lot of instances where Rohan and Vaidehi's friends describe Vaidehi as a selfish, arrogant girl who prides upon her intelligence. But there is not one instance where she was actually mean to anyone (except with Rohan after their breakup). So even after completing the book, I am not satisfied with Vaidehi's character. 💔 The book cover could have been better.
