Be not the slave of your own past - plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep, and swim far, so you shall come back with self-respect, with new power, and with an advanced experience that shall explain and overlook the old. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Every artist was first an amateur.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson Yoga, art, writing, carpentry, etc. all of these things take practice. Sure, some people are born with natural abilities to play the piano, but most have to practice and strive. Practice doesn’t make perfect, ever, but it does make progress. Just because you’re bad at something is no reason to give up on it. Keep practicing! What’s something you want to be better at? Be well friends ❤️🙏🏻.
Focus only on what you can control - your internal perceptions and your actions in response. Almost everything is out of your control. Don't waste time or emotional energy on fighting what you can't change. This is one of the basic Stoic principles.
“In a world when you can be anything. Be kind.” 🌻 “My philosophy is, kill this life with kindness and live the life that makes YOU happy!! Always be open to new views and experiences but stay honest with what feels right in your heart and soul. Use your voice to share your journey with others. And lastly, STOP being so afraid. Stop being afraid of all the judgment. I am not going to lie and say it doesn't hurt me or affect me when others judge; because it does, a lot. But, it's how we choose to react to those words that defines who we are and sets the next stepping stone in the future. Throughout the last decade or so, I've learned no matter what you do or how good you try to be, you can't please everyone. And, to be honest, "EVERYONE" shouldn’t matter. There will always be someone who only focuses on your flaws and finds a reason to judge you. Love them, wish better for them, but don’t let them dim your light. First and foremost, learn to love and be kind to yourself. This will open the door for you to love life and all those in it with such a deeper capacity. Secondly, be proud of your story and who you are. This will open a door for you to raise others up and help them be proud of who they are, too. I can promise you there are an unimaginable amount of people rallying in your corner, even if you don’t always know they’re there.”-Ali Hallock, an amazing woman wise beyond her years who I’m so lucky to call a friend. 💕🌻😘
✨ #ralphwaldoemerson#happiness#felicidad#exito#relaciones#personas#amar#respetae#crear#coach#psicologiapositiva#psicologia#vida
