I love a bit of healthy competition with myself and creating new personal challenges is what keeps me going in between the real on-stage competitions. Lately I’ve been hammering my clients with weighted pull ups. They work a charm for rapidly increasing strength and the number of body weight reps you can do. They are hard though!! So today it was my turn. - This clip is my last set of 3 x 3 reps with a plate of 5kg on the belt. I was spent! Let’s see if the gains increase next week. #transformationtuesday For ages doing pull ups was my goal, so I practiced every time I trained. These were various stages thru peeps and as my weight goes down and output is high I could actually do more pull ups. Pictures are body weight, banded and machine, nothing wrong with using any form to help get strong and improve. Like anything it’s never easy and there are always obstacles and hurdles but I’m one determined chick and no quitter. Just like my life right now it may seem hard now but all the effort now will pay off and be rewarding in the end! 🤞🏻👌

Lifting weights is all about teaching your body to change and evolve to with stand the stress of every day life. Resistance training tells the body it needs more muscle to ‘survive’ so it then builds that muscle to cope with the stress we put it under therefore increasing strength and size.
‼️‼️Not being afraid of muscle development is the best thing a gal can do 😌💪🏽 ‼️‼️ When you go into an upper body day with no idea what you want to target so you do back, shoulders, bis and tris altogether 😂👏🏻 1. Bent over rows with a slight pause (lol look at my tapping toe 😂) (SUPERSET 2. Triceps dips on Bench 3. Assisted pull ups (be kind I haven’t done these in a good year 😂) ) 4. Slow controlled bicep curls 5. Upright barbell row (target those shoulders)
