No matter what life throws at me or any human for that matter. Like a Phoenix, I will Rise. With Air under my wings as I soar to the high heavens. I’m working on me and don’t have time for some of the good things in life. I don’t have time for a boyfriend. I don’t have time to run around and be carefree like I want. I am working hard on myself to prolong my life. Since Sept of 2017 I have lost 50 lbs. I have my struggles. I have my own demons and crosses to bare. I don’t have time for the finer things nor have the money for it. I love unconditionally. Yes I have a huge heart and want to help the world. But what good am I if I’m not healthy? I suffer with #ptsd#anxiety and #depression I know I’m not alone. Life knocks me down sometimes and pulls the rug out from under me. But I get back up and dust myself off. I re-analyze my situation and look for a solution. I don’t ask for help. Never been one to ask for help. It’s the #virgo in me. I share things on here that I find inspiration from or resonates with me. I am on a level that has a higher frequency. I’m only human and I’m not perfect. Nobody is. I want to help others who have had some of my same issues with their health or in life itself. I know what it is to be a single mom, to go to college, to have some of the most unimaginable things both good and bad happen to you. I’ve cheated death and know it’s the love I have for my son that keeps me going. I have some really good friends that I love like family and they are all around the world. All different walks of life. We accept each other for who we are. Why am I saying all of this? Maybe because someone needs to hear it or it might reach someone struggling too. Be Love, Be Light and most of all Be Kind.
#mission22#ptsd Day 8 of 22 Mission 22 22 pushups day for 22 days to support awareness for Veterans that commit suicide daily. Donate to the cause: https://mission22.networkforgood.com/projects/19677-mission-22 “MISSION 22 PROGRAMS Mission 22 has three major programs. Treatment for veterans for Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and other issues they may be facing through Mission 22 Programs as well as many partner organizations, large scale public art to honor veterans and creating social impact for the issues veterans are facing today, There are memorials dedicated to the fallen warriors of nearly every major conflict in our country's history. They remind us of the sacrifice, they honor those we've lost, and they tie civilian to soldier. But there was no national monument for those who have fallen in the war against Veteran suicide until the War at Home Memorial was created. With your support, we were able to build one. We raised a monument—and awareness. We are working with community leaders in locations like Norfolk, Washington DC and New York City to create a permanent exhibit to pay tribute to those we have lost here at home. VETERAN TREAMENT PROGRAMS Mission 22 has comprehensive programs to treat veterans suffering from PTS and TBI. We also have partnered with other organizations that offer amazing services to veterans as well as doctors and treatment facilities across the country. The VA is a great resource but they are understaffed and underfunded. With your help we can get our veterans the help they need now, without the wait. Our partner organizations specialize in Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, substance abuse and all of the issues veterans are facing today. The Mission 22 campaign has brought veteran issues to millions of
#repost @anxiety_wellbeing with @get_repost ・・・ YOU DON'T HAVE TO STAY THERE PLAYING THE GAME | IT CAN FEEL HARD TO KNOW, YOU CAN PUT THE MALLET DOWN & STAND BACK. . ✒@anxiety_wellbeing 🎨@gemmacorrell ❤ . A CAUSE FOR ANXIETY & DEPRESSION could be that you don't know how to deal with all of these issues popping up, they can feel like you are standing there in an arcade full of noise, wolloping these issues back down as hard as you can, & anticipating more ready will pop up any minute Now, be Ready! . SYMPTOMS of anxiety can be that you feel you cannot slow, that you can't put these issues down, cannot let go of the urgency of it, cannot allow yourself to not worry about them. What will happen if you do? . NORMAL You are not alone, we all experience anxiety on all levels & anxiety is a normal human function to stresses in the mind and body. Anxiety is good for us, to help us see & understand danger, to survive it, so that we are able to get though certain situations, that bit of adrenaline can help us to be more aware and ready for a situation but too much & it may not be easy to switch off, you may be having to deal with stress hormones frequently, then anxiety becomes a problem, then all of life's events and situations that POP UP now are feeling impossible to deal with, overwhelming, emotional & keeping you in a stress response circle. . WHAT CAN YOU DO? Be open to learning how to help yourself. Accept this has been hard, that you will need help, let out how you feel. Bring back calm, with guided meditation, light sport, getting outside, finding time to do what brings you joy. Stopping in your day to be present , think of happy memories or things you are grateful for . UNDERSTAND You can put the worry & anticipation of situations down, that they are unhelpful, you need ways in which You can navigate these. You can walk away, stand back from worries, put these down & make time to heal, learn, it's helpful. If you worry it brings you anxiety and
I promised myself a week free of work over the holidays and it has benefited me enormously 😊 It is amazing how with time, space, sunshine (and coffee) stress and anxiety fades and creativity returns. It becomes easier to think big and imagine an inspiring future. We have made some big plans this past week and feel both excitement and trepidation about them but if there is one thing we know for sure it’s that when you put yourself out there and take a risk you either win or you learn, so actually you just win 💜 I have begun writing my story of living alongside a partner with PTSD. There are just too many lessons not to share. Who knows how it will turn out or if I’ll even be brave enough to do anything with it! For the moment, just writing it all down feels courageous but also deeply healing. So, here’s to being brave, here’s to living and being grateful for this crazy ride. This picture is of me in my natural habitat 😂 What are you doing that’s brave this week?
I find mindfulness really difficult, a symptom of PTSD no doubt. Genuinely, the only times I can calm my thoughts are outside with only water, trees or sky in view #ptsd #mindfullness#natureasmedicine
There will never be a replacement for face2face counselling. There are a lot to be gleaned from robust consultation while discussing with clients or sufferers in mental health interactions bearing in mind that non-verbal communication accounts for most of what we 'say' or mean. However with the advent of technology, we need to avail ourselves with all the opportunities it brings. Businesses , entertainment industries, fashion, health sector, politics and so many others now maximise technological advances to work SMARTER and achieve better outcome. This includes conference calls, FaceTime, Skype, online services, phone and so many other ways. I believe online counselling and phone counselling services should not be left behind. It afford clients opportunity to access mental help services no matter how remote or non-mobile they are. It also ensures that people with urgent and critical mental health illness are not left behind or forgotten. Most importantly, it offers clients and sufferers CHOICE! While we have made good progress in online and phone counselling, I believe there are still a lot of rooms for improvement. Constant improvement in the way we offer mental health services will ensure that those that need the services and help do not suffer needlessly.
