This past week I've been traveling quite a bit.. . .I listened to what my body was saying, and it said "I am fatigued you schmuck, let me rest".. . .Today's lift felt fittastic.. . .Found a groove that works with training and nutrition- one could say "things are getting pretty serious".. . .Starting to add additional variables to deads training. Keeping the weight at 315 for a while, sticking to fast singles.. . .However, now I added bands! This variable is fantastic for training the deadlift lockout. Additionally, since peak tension is only at the top, you don't fry yourself by constatly tackling heavy weight.. . .i have noticed that I am having my hips shoot up a little faster than the barbell. This is why I started to implement pauses, as well as not using a belt at the lighter weight. Make sure you read the ingredients and the nutrition label before choosing a protein or health bar! A lot of “health” bars being sold today are pretty much candy bars with some protein added 🍫! Looking at the picture above, I compared a snickers bar to a very popular health bar on the market today. While the fat content is lower for the health bar, the calories, sugar, and carbs are all higher. But if you are going to take supplements (everything in moderation ofcourse), then use this comparison as a guideline as to which whey protein is right for you! 💪 -  Optimum Nutrition's gold standard:  Protein: 24g  Carbs: 3g  Calories/kilojoules: 120 cal / 502kj  High protein, low carbs and low calorie/kj. -  Syntha-6:  Protein: 22g  Carbs: 3g  Calories/kilojoules: 200 cal / 836.8kj  Lower protein than the gold standard with a higher calorie count. This may be better for those who are trying to achieve a caloric surplus for bulking purposes. -  MP Combat:  Protein: 24g  Carbs: 5g  Calories/kilojoules: 130 cal / 543kj  This is a great addition to a meal which provides high protein, mod carbs and low kj. Baked a cake for the hubs! I didn't have time to make the cake from scratch but I did make the frosting! It's a @realduncanhines chocolate fudge mix but I swapped the water for coffee and the oil for butter (Googled ways to make a box cake taste homemade). The frosting is peanut butter and I followed a recipe from @sallysbakeblog! I added chocolate shavings because I'm fancy like that! 1/12th of the cake is 18sp and I know this because I plugged everything into the recipe builder. 😊 . P.S.
