๐Ÿ‹๏ธ‍โ™€๏ธI haven't posted a workout Wednesday post in awhile. . ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ‍โ™€๏ธMy social media usage has been inconsistent lately. But health journey has been overall on track. . ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ‍โ™€๏ธI refuse to gain any holiday weight. My plan is that I will be indulging on the holidays and keeping it healthy-ish the rest of the time. . ๐Ÿ‹๏ธ‍โ™€๏ธPlus because I had 15 minutes of free time yesterday I planned out every workout I'll do for the rest of 2018.
This is one of the biggest shifts in perspective I've had over the last two years:  Wellness and prevention is greater than treatment.  My thought process before I started using oils was never to really think about staying well. If we got sick, I immediately went to thinking about how to get rid of the symptoms. I'd run to the nearest CVS and go up and down those aisles and grab every box and pill I would find. Never once looking at the back of the box, where it listed the ingredients and side effects.  Oh, the side effects. The toxic ingredients. Things we all typically turn a blind eye to on a regular basis. I mean, it’s on the shelf, so it MUST be perfectly fine to use… #knowbetterdobetter  Now, our focus is on KEEPING ourselves healthy. How?  We put as much good, nourishing, life-giving food into our bodies as we can. And to help fill in the gaps where we might be lacking, we use high-quality, as whole-food as possible supplements. ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป We drink A LOT of clean, filtered water. Like, A LOT. Half our weight in ounces to be more specific. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป We get our bodies moving, every day. Sometimes we go to the gym. Sometimes we do a video. Sometimes we just walk. The important part is that it is for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes every day. Especially when we don’t want to. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป We sleep. This is an area that we have been trying to greatly improve. Just like many of you, after the kids go to bed and we collapse on the couch, we can get sucked into all that social media and TV has to offer. ๐Ÿ˜ I get it. Before you know it the clock says 10:30. Or maybe even 11:30pm. That’s why we have been setting an alarm and try to get upstairs once it goes off to get ready for bed and wind down. It doesn’t happen every night - yet - but on the nights that it does, we wake up SO well rested. โœŒ๐Ÿป We use products that are safe to touch our skin. Go watch ‘The Human Experiment’. I woke up this morning feeling “fluffy.” I ate WAY too much this weekend. I tend to overeat on the weekends but you know what? That’s OK. You have to enjoy yourself sometimes! - โญ๏ธ I know that even though today I may have weighed more on the scale and been more bloated I can get right back on track and feel better within a few days! - ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป Even if you fall off track for a few days make sure you get back on track. Don’t use the excuse I used to use “well I already ate bad so I might as well give up.” Change your mindset. Enjoy yourself and then get back to fueling your body with healthy Whole Foods ๐Ÿ˜Œ
