A unique four poster day bed in the guestroom of a house called 'Frangipani' in Goa. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Built in 1936, the owner, Alice von Baum completed the renovation in 2012. The house itself was built from the iron-rich laterite stone found all over Goa, Alice saved what she could from the original house, including several old doors and even some of the carved curtain pole supports that were still in place.
#inspiration: A corner appears to have been sliced away from this hilltop house by architect Manuel Aires Mateus. Instead of rectilinear shapes, each block is also gently tapered to make the building appear larger than it actually is. . . . . Image source: Fernando Guerra
