You Guys... the light on Big Island is something else! Trying to scheme up ways to make our way back!! - Do you prefer going somewhere warmer or colder during holiday season? - #portra400#kodakprofessional
This photo is a rather accurate depiction of our weather this weekend. It snowed all over North Carolina yesterday and somehow our small area of charlotte seems to be the only one that got freezing rain instead. Weather is so weird! | Flowers @jenniferdesignsevents Inspired by designs of @paulstankard Model @sforzajess Hmua @rachelannemarker Dress @aimeemichellebridal

I was obsessed with the light in this room! This is part of the big mill building at Kennecott (sometimes spelled Kennicott). We enjoyed Kennecott so much when we went in July for a day trip, that we had to come back again in September to stay for a couple days and do a private mine tour 😁 Swipe to see the old historic 14 story tall mill that processed copper from 1911-1938. Hundreds of people used to live in this mining town. Most of the old buildings are now managed by the National Park Service, but there are still private residences here! A very small handful of people live here year round. This town is probably the most remote town we have ever been to. It’s about a four hour drive to Glenallen. In the last photo, what looks to be piles of dirt is actually the massive Kennecott Glacier that spans the whole valley. A hundred years ago, this glacier was so tall, you couldn’t even see across the valley to the other side. Glaciers don’t only lose mass in length, but in height as well.
CO #35mm we passed by the same town on the way in and out of the Rocky’s. it was spacious, there was one gas station and the WiFi was basically non-existent. imagine living a full life in the wake of mountains
