Came across this poem by Reddit poet u/poem_for_your_sprog in a thread asking "who’s that person that you wonder if they still think about you". It really resonated with me, as I'm sure we've all had people in our lives who left an impression on us that we've lost touch with. Growing up, we moved around a lot, and much of this was before the time of Internet. So I left many friends behind, and I sometimes wonder what they're up to and if they ever think of me. Even with social media as handy as it is today, it doesn't really help if you don't remember their last names, or they have common names, or if they're not even on any social media 😱. ⠀ ⠀ Do you have that someone you think of every so often and wonder if they do the same?⠀ _________________⠀ #calligraphy#moderncalligraphy#pointedpen#pointedpencalligraphy#blackandwhite#drphmartinsbleedproofwhite#inkandpaper#bluepumpkinnib#reddit#poemforyoursprog#nostalgia#poem#poet#quote
"I've never dreamed of destiny; The grand design of fate - Nor how the future's *meant* to be, Or what adventures wait - I've never held a deeper view For how we came to here - But if the cosmos made us two - I'm glad it did, my dear."
"The young, the new, And all they do, In truth, the youth today - The things they share, The way they care, And all the words they say - It's strange to see The change to me, But all the same it's right - I'm glad at last The past has passed. The future's looking bright."
Finally wrapped up my late night painting. Couldn't find a good spot to take a photo without the glare but it reads "I had planned my first endeavor, but the world had plans for me. I am lost, but not forever. I am where I'm meant to be." The poem is by reddit user poem_for_your_sprog and I liked it enough to spend a whole afternoon painting it! 😁 #painting#acryliconcanvas#hobbies#reddit#poemforyoursprog
He glided high to surf the sky, And floated by on gusts of air, That whipped and blew and flapped and flew, For me, for you, for Pooh, the bear. Alas, there sighed a wind that cried, And soon I spied a sight unfair, To see him crossed and torn and tossed, And left and lost was Pooh, the bear. And so I knew the worst was true, And wandered, blue, to home and there, I heard a knock and saw it dock - The hammer cock of Pooh, the bear. #pooh#wronghole#poemforyoursprog
I don't know why I'm posting it, but I'm proud of my 15 minute poem for /r/askreddit. Prompt was "which cliché sayings do you hate the most?" And some person replied "it was all part of God's plan" as it relates to deaths and such. #reddit#poetry#poemforyoursprog#sayings#whatamidoing

When days are hard, and nights are long; When storms are raging rough – When all my dreams are none too strong, And hopes aren’t hope enough – I close my eyes to hear the breeze; The secret words inside – The whispered winds that shake the trees; The songs that skip and hide – I hear the rhymes that ride the tide; The swing, the sound, the beat – The lines that swell and slip and slide In stanzas, small and sweet. I hear the sounds that hold and wait For those who seek to find – A safer shore; a surer state; A better frame of mind. When days are hard; when tempests cry A squall of aches and pains; I close my eyes, and breathe a sigh – And poetry remains. #samgarland#poemforyoursprog
| Of all the questions posed above, It's this I can't ignore - For what's the point of life and love Without a hope for more? | When tossed and turned in rivers rough, I'll seek a surer stream - This world's already dark enough Without a chance to dream. | So if it came - that time to voice The thought - I'd let it go. I think I'd make a different choice... And never want to know. _______________________ #music#art#drawing#anime#writing#poisonthelight
I'm late for #bellletstalk but since this is something so important to me and many others I wanted to contribute something. I've had depression since I was a teenager and the last time I wanted to run and hide from the world I found this poem and felt it perfectly described what it was like to be suffering from depression. We're all in this together and as long as we realize we're not alone things will get brighter. #depression#mentalillness#poemforyoursprog
