So eggcited for @melanievansteensburg who fell in love with my 4 seasons eggs on Saturday. I had posted the spring egg three weeks ago, but then never posted the other three. So here they all are. I hope they’re enjoying their new home with Melanie!
So... having my second cup of coffee and thoroughly enjoying this lovely “Feast for the Eyes” food art book by Carrie Tillie. Yes... “E” is for egg... and besides my egg art there are a couple of other egg artists in this book as well! What a great gift to slide into a basket of goodies for a food lover! I have my copy out for view during Vermont Open Studio Tour! I’m back into the jewelry routine. Three goose eggs worth of pendants and necklaces currently drying. Thanks to @insidethebyrdsnest for her PATG video, which has helped me to refresh by brain and my techniques. And to @doreseggs for her encouragement when we were together.
One of my favorite pieces from the new summer collection. Made from Rhea eggshells and dyed using a traditional wax resist process. Still working on photographing these guys but they are completely different then my normal work and I'm loving it! What do you think? Coated with @ecopoxy UVpoxy for strength, uv protection, and unbelievable shine.
