200,000 meters To my new life. - As I reached the last few metres my vision was going blurry and I thought I was going to pass out. But then I heard the crowd around me beginning to chant: “Tim! Tim! Tim!” Their shouts pulled me back from the brink and spurred me on, forcing me to keep going through the physical pain I was experiencing. I knew they were chanting for my rowing, but to me, it felt like so much more. It felt like they were chanting for my soul, like they were behind me in this new journey I was on in my life, and they were supporting the enormous change I was making. When I hit 200,000 metres the crowd erupted into cheers and applause. I fell off the machine, rolled onto the floor and immediately vomited everywhere. Everyone rushed over to help, putting my legs up in the air to try and get rid of the lactic acid. My face was bright purple and tears were running down my cheeks. I was a complete and utter wreck, both physically and emotionally. But I had never felt stronger than I did in that moment. I had proved that I could literally come back from the dead; that from being someone who felt so bad about themselves they wanted to end it all, I had discovered an inner strength that I had never known existed. Finally, after months of unsteady progress, always doubting whether I really had it in me to change and build a new life for myself, I had come back fighting. And I knew that this was only the beginning for me. Once all the rowers had had a group hug and popped a bottle of champagne, I got out my mobile, retreated to a quiet corner and called my mum. “Mum, I did it,” I said. “And I’m ready to start a new life now.”
No matter your position, you can always perceive someone else as doing better than you. It is easy to feel dissatisfied with what you don't have, but be aware there is always someone else who see's you as a success and wishes they had what you already possess. Be grateful and humble in your process. The true meaning of happiness is wanting what you already have. - 🤳 Help us spread our message ✔️ Follow us 🙏 Thank you 🌍 #actionevolution - 📽️Thanks @jayshetty for this great animation.
Have you ever reached a point in life where you just need to remove yourself from it, take a step back to see a glimpse of the bigger picture? I’m there now, trying to learn to be happy on my own, be more independent... there is nothing more rewarding than learning to love yourself before loving others. It’s okay to be alone.. in fact that’s when self-growth has enough room to bloom. Well that’s me right now... in beast mode.
Monday Motivation!!! Living A healthy lifestyle doesn’t consist of just eating the healthy foods. ——————————————— there are many factors in living a healthy lifestyle. Many years ago, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer and only had a short time to live. In the last of her days with me, she begged me to quit smoking. Just so you know, I respected her dying wish. However, it wasn’t immediately. ———————————————— First of all, to me I wasn’t considered a smoker. I was a social smoker, only smoking when at events, that my friends or acquaintances were present and they smoked. Lie number one. I was a smoker. Even if it was only occasionally. It took me about two weeks to quit after my mother passed away. ———————————————— I always believed that because I ate healthy food and exercised that I was healthy. Lie number two. ————————————————- After studying health and becoming a health coach, I learned that we tell ourselves a lot of lies. Maybe not on purpose but the fact remains, we are in denial about so many things. Another lie we tell ourselves is that we can go on little sleep. Sleep deprivation is very unhealthy and can cause not just wait gain, but not even getting enough to get our rem sleep in. Our brains don’t function well on little sleep, and even though we don’t think about it, dangerous things can happen to us, when we don’t get enough sleep. ————————————————- Did you know that stress is the number one cause of cancer cells that we have inside of us to become active or cancer that we may already have may spread. So keeping your stress level down is also very important and living a healthy lifestyle. ————————————————- Products that we use on our body do not affect her health. Another lie. What we really need to be doing is checking the ingredients in our
. . Belle journée ! . . . #reconnexionheureuse#mondaymood#newday#newweek#developpementpersonnel#osetavie#goodvibes#citationdujour#toutcommenceparsoi#reconnexionasoi#personalgrowth#personaldevelopment#knowyourselffirst#quoteoftheday#mindfullness#mindsetshift#connaistoitoimeme#travailsursoi
