Thinking back to a few weeks ago... I was alone on the beach in Mexico. I found such peace. Who ever travels outside the country by themselves???I have found, I have my best ideas and growth in this space. In the grind of our daily lives in America striving for the "music video/Instagram" lifestyle is very tough to understand how we are feeling about anything. From alerts on our phones, to jobs , kids etc. it’s easy to get lost in the grind. Doing what we are supposed to do by culture vs. digging deep into our intuition and consciousness. This confusion can contribute to stress levels, being unhealthy and an unsatisfactory life. I speak a lot about fulfillment in clients’ sessions because we are lead by corporations to having false fulfillment. For example, when you are done with a show on Netflix or a meal at a restaurant and wanting some other version of... 😁 SEROTONIN: regulates MOOD/emotion , appetite, memory and sleep! 🏆 Understanding how I feel and why has been so helpful toward my fulfillment. This has helped me navigate others to create other habits that are healthy for clients vs unhealthy. I’m a nerd 🤓 but Superman also is Clark Kent!!! 💪 . . . . . . . . . . . . #serotonin#fulfillment#emotion#motivation#inspiration#love#photooftheday#beforeandafterweightloss#weightloss#food#fitspo#photooftheday#personaldevelopment#saltlakecity#utah#nutrition#picoftheday#exercise#cancun#culture#entrepreneur#business#transformation#tbt#throwbackthursday
INSPIRATIONAL GOALS A fundamental and exciting part of the MillenniOwl Coaching programme is the definition of an inspirational goal - a sentence or saying created by the coachee that inspires them to move towards their desire. There are two elements that are essential to any inspirational goal. First, you need to develop a clear idea of yourself in the near future, a mental image of yourself that you can describe in detail. It's like marking a new destination on a map, except that the destination is a future version of yourself living the live you desire. The clearer the vision the more direction you give to yourself. But that's only half of the story. You also need to tap into the emotional side of your mental image. You do so not only by thinking about how you will feel when you have achieved your goal but also by feeling the emotion ahead of your achievement. Through this, you emotionally connect with your future self, and it's like as if the emotional connection holds a magnetic charge that helps you to catch up with your future self and eventually live the life you desire. The mental and emotional connection is established through visualisation which everyone is capable of. Finding the right words for the inspirational goal to capture the mental and emotional connection is eventually a matter of personal choice of the coachee. ⠀ You might be like me. Here's a picture from many moons ago.⠀ ⠀ I grew up in a religious family that had certain ideas about what the good life looks like. And the bad life.⠀ ⠀ Don’t get me wrong, there were plenty of wonderful things about my fundamentalist Christian upbringing. But this post isn’t about those things.⠀ ⠀ This post is about the crazy ass hoops I’ve had to jump through to be a complete human being. ⠀ ⠀ A human being who embraces mystery. ⠀ A human being who revels in exploring his sexuality (even outside of marriage, *gasp*)⠀ A human being who truly loves himself, and no longer spends YEARS of his life in shame spirals and depression.⠀ A human being who knows that he is the co-creator of his world.⠀ A human being who is truly free.⠀ ⠀ Now don’t get me wrong: I’ve still got hang ups. I’m still growing and learning and fucking up. I’ve still got limitations.⠀ ⠀ But within the last 5 years of my life, as I inch closer towards 4 decades of existence on this planet, I’ve grown into myself in ways I never thought would be possible.⠀ ⠀ A client recently said this to me: ⠀ “Zach, I just broke through. I can actually choose in this life. I can be the man I want to be. I get to live the life that I actually want to live, instead of the obligatory life I’ve been living.”⠀ ⠀ FUCKING HELLS TO THE YES!!!⠀ ⠀ That’s the freedom I’m talking about. That’s the moment I LIVE FOR in this work. When a client realizes that they are the CREATOR of their life instead of the REACTOR or CONSUMER, I lose my fucking shit.⠀ ⠀ Because what this world needs are creative creators, humans who are building their lives and making their visions happen. Humans who are serving the world with their gifts, and who understand that they have a purpose that is greater than themselves. ⠀ ⠀ So why are you still reading this
Any other recovering self sabotagers out there?? Or those that have their hands in a lot of things but rarely finish what you committed to? That’s me! Yes, hi my name is Britt, and I have a problem, a self worth problem. See, after a lifetime of experiences, I started to believe that I wasn’t the most magic thing in the world, capable of anything (spoiler alert, if you have a pulse, so are you ✨😘). So, I started a bunch of things but would self sabotage before I could truly tap into that next level magic. It’s been years of consciously putting in the effort to get where I am today. These old patterns and habits can take time to reprogram. But along the way, there is one thing that I’ve found certain to be true. You can ALWAYS be certain that joy is on the other side of you following through with your word. You can always find HEALHY worth in self-discipline and being a person of integrity. That’s been my experience, anyway. I’m not perfect, I still fill my plate too full on occasion and have to apologize for my missteps, but the next level joy is found in the PROCESS of cultivating that discipline and witnessing the growth that you make! xo- @withloveshalakolaloba #justfollowjoy
David failed JAMB 4 times before he eventually passed the 5th time & got admission. It took all the determination he had to eventually succeed in school & graduate. After NYSC service in Nigeria, he got a teaching job to keep body and soul together after searching in vain for a job as an architect. Fortunately for him, the school he works in encouraged him to go for his PGDE where he learnt more about Education. He suddenly discovered he enjoyed teaching one day & could build his teaching career but then salary was not enough. In the bid to augment salary & increase his earnings, he tried so many businesses that didn't work for him. He made some money and also lost some. He discovered the stress was too much for his health. One thing led to another and he discovered there are so many students having problems passing their external examinations (JAMB, WAEC, NECO). He also found out he easily put a lot of them through the problems and coached them on what to do. . Yet, he was still searching for the right business to do! Not until parents started bringing gifts to show their appreciation, not until students started seeking him out to coach them that he discovered he already had a viable business at hand & he had been sitting on a gold mine! . Looking back, he remembered he also had that challenge, the wrote JAMB 5 times! He went on to register an educational outfit and started helping students study to pass their external examinations at a sitting, of course, the business is thriving now. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ . Have you ever faced a challenge in the past that proved difficult but you eventually overcame? What great mistake did you make in the past that prompted you to look for solution? . . Was it difficult getting that problem solved? Do we have many people solving that particular problem? Do we have so many people facing that same challenge as well? . . Can you help people out of that mistake you made? Can you guide them not to make that same mistake? . . Where
Don't be penny wise pound foolish. Spend your money wisely. Go the extra mile to get the uncommon things, keep learning till you get married and afterwards. It's not over until you win. Tag a friend. #personaldevelopment#wisespending#wisdom
Creating a profitable business begins with believing you can create a profitable business and then consistently showing up to make it happen. The problem is you may be getting stuck in either believing it can happen and not taking consistent action OR taking the consistent action and not believing it can happen. It's about both of those two things [belief & action] working in your favor and doing the work to make sure you've got it down soulfully and strategically. You also get to decide if the work gets to be easy or hard. And that's just the beginning. At each next level, you'll become more conscious of what areas to focus on to continuously grow and scale your profitable business. Which of these two areas are you committing to so you can focus making your business profitable? . . . . . #successcoach#successmindset#mindsetiseverything#successtips#laptoplifestyle#womenentrepreneurs#personaldevelopment#successfulwomen#businesscoach#mompreneur#onlinecoach#entrepreneurmindset
💛Self-awareness💛 This year I am on an amazing journey of growth & personal development that comes from setting goals, deep reflection and challenging myself to look inward. Every single day I’m learning & acknowledging things about who I am, good and “bad” and it’s an amazing process to go through, albeit quite exhausting! Through aligning my actions with my core beliefs & values, as well as being a Mother, I’m forced to look at the deepest parts of my soul which manifest as my emotions, decisions and daily habits. . To share a few of my most recent learnings: . 💚My sensitivity might be my greatest gift but it can also be my biggest hinderance when it isn’t harnessed properly. 🧡I feel the emotion of guilt more deeply and more often than ever. Mum guilt, environmental guilt, work guilt, not-good-enough guilt, let-people-down guilt. It shows up everywhere. Guilt does no one any favours yet it is so hard to shift! 💙I take my passions very seriously because they mean so much to me but I can get caught up in that seriousness and struggle to find lightness, ease & optimism. 💜I know the direction I want to take my life in with my work and I know how I want to be of service to the world, even if that may cause discomfort to myself and others. ❤️Motherhood makes me and breaks me all at once. I get sucked into the emotions of my children as if they were my own and over-analyse every aspect of the hard parts, trying to unpick it all and make it all better. I need to let things go more and know that for children, difficult things pass in that moment. I need to trust that I’m doing my best and that is more than good enough. 💚I love to laugh & dance & be silly and not take myself too seriously even if what I share with the world is often the more serious stuff. I must make more time for the silly! 💛The state of the planet and it’s future scares and overwhelms me to the point where I can feel intense sadness, despair & panic. I want to

Do not give away the dream of your future, to the shadows of the past!

We could all use more positivity in our lives! 🌞🌻😊 Through the good times, it’s easy to be positive. It’s through the rough and tough, that our positive attitudes are tested. . Yesterday, my car battery completely went out on me, died forever once and for all, as I was about to head out and go to the gym. It left me stranded in my driveway. And yes for a brief moment, I pretty upset 🤬 because I didn’t expect it to happen, I didn’t plan for it, and it was interrupting what I already had planned for my day. But I just had to get over it, accept the situation I had in front of me, and deal with it. Figure out what to do to fix it. Find a solution. I came back to a positive attitude very quickly when I found out towing was covered on my insurance but also that my mom was available to assist me and my boyfriend. 🙌🏼🙏🏼 Which meant I was able to not have to get my car towed at all and they were able to help me out instead. (Saved me more time and money!) No I was not expecting to blow $100 either way on a new battery, but I’m THANKFUL that I have a job and there’s more money to be made. . We have two ways that we can look at what life throws at us; positively and negatively. And I can tell you right now that by choosing to look at the situation positively, I carried on the rest of my day, happy as can be. . KNOW that everything is gonna be okay when life throws you curveballs you weren’t prepared for. Even if it doesn’t feel that way in the moment, don’t let silly things that come and go bring down your energy or your whole day. It’s not worth it! . STAY POSITIVE, MY FRIENDS! ✌🏼🌞🌻🌸✨ . . . #inspiration#inspiredaily#womenempowerment#encouragement#motivation#photooftheday#inspire#beautiful#dailymotivation#lifestyle#love#keepgoing#healthy#health#instagood#life#livethelittlethings#makeithappen#higherself#growthmindset#personaldevelopment#dreambig#goals#creativehappylife#igyogacommunity
That car rider line HUSTLE! I used to be afraid to use that word, or to show these parts of what I do. Why is that? That for some reason to be “holy” we can’t hustle or work too hard? Like being a good Christian means complacency or contentment, never reaching for more. But to me, I think there is more. Much more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “The quality of work we do shouldn’t be about bragging rights. It’s about stewardship. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We serve a great God who doesn’t settle for average. God created the world (and you) with excellence and purpose, and God has buried great gifts inside of you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Serving God should elevate our level of excellence in every part of our lives, not lower it.” @bradlomenick ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think sometimes we use Christianity as a crutch.😱 There, I said it. But it’s true. I know because I’ve been there. The second things get hard, unbalanced, or feel like work, we use faith as our rationale and reason to flee. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And don’t get me wrong, I’m all about some rest, but I’m also about hard work for God’s glory. What if instead of pulling away we pressed in? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Allow your faith to be the standard that pushes you to greatness. Not what holds you back. 1 Corinthians 10:31. Choose to be so great that people can’t ignore you. Glorify God by being the greatest leader, parent, neighbor, friend and employee. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The glory of God. Talk about a scary standard!” If your standards don’t scare you a little, maybe they’re not high enough! #humblehungryhustle#h3leadership
Have you ever been too hard on your body? Either by commenting with negative labels ugly, fat etc. Or by hurting with harmful habits like over drinking, binge eating, starving it, smoking cigarettes, and or being sedentary. I believe our bodies are intelligent and special because this is the only body we are given for this life we have. I do believe that we can build a loving relationship with our body with our habits and appreciation for all the hard work it does to keep us alive. Take good care of your body with your lifestyle and mindset. It’s our own personal temple. ✨✨
