Snatches and Cleans have always been lifts I wished our team would have worked on during college athletics. Whether it was ignorance or lack of programming, our strength staff never highlighted these anywhere in our sport - which is crazy 🤬 - No, the above shots are not the best mechanics but the benefits of Olympic lifting for athletic speed/power/strength qualities far outweigh the slight errors in the totality of the movement. At the end of the day, athletes are training to get better at their sport, not lifting itself. This does not mean time should not be spent teaching/learning proper technique, it just means that when weighing apples to oranges, sports are result driven. You win or you lose. - There is TONS of information circulating highlighting the benefit for rate of force development and explosive actions/speed through these lifts that have a relatively long bar path and strong, plyometric-like leg drive. Very rarely are sports movements done in a slow fashion, so the ability to develop force is essential. - Currently I use very low rep counts and focus on the speed-strength portion of the curve, keeping the velocity as high as I can muster (until I get a VBT device which allows me to measure these qualities in real time 🤗) - If you are a coach and not using some type of Olympic movements in your programming, you and your athletes are missing out on the full benefits of a quality strength training program. This off- season we specifically designed a program to help CRS Academy student athlete @angel.money11 with his arm strength and power development.  @angel.money11 and his family made a commitment to be apart of CRS Prep Academy,  both a multi-sport and academic institution. We are extremely proud and very impressed with his development. . . In less than four months we have seen tremendous results in @angel.money11 arm strength and confidence throwing the football. . . The videos above shows @angel.money11 simulating our testing protocols for QB's. What you see in the first video is a "one yard step and throw" and in the second video a "stand and throw". This allowed us to gather data in his arm strength and power. Below are his testing results. . . "Stand and throw" WAS 99' 1" = 33yd • NOW 115'6" = 38.5yd . "One yard step and throw" WAS 103' 5" = 34.5yd • NOW 125' 4" = 41.75yd•

FIX YOUR LAZY EYE PERMANENTLY!!!! (@posturepro) . .  Here are some amazing results with a lazy eye correction in our Atlanta 🇺🇸 program 🤘🏼 @5ringsbarbell  Here is what we did, we assessed Jance’s diverging eye by asking him to focus on a target (tip of the pen). This requires both of his eye to rotate inwards. As you can see from the first image, his left eye is rotating outwards. What that means is that his brain is receiving two different types of information - the right eye is seeing the tip of the pen , and the left eye is seeing something else. This is visual inaccuracy that causes the brain to receive faulty input. . .  Once we determined Jance’s “weak eye”, we proceeded on working out his eye muscles. Our Posturepro Program involves simple strategies to immediately improve eye tracking which dramatically improves an athletes game . Now take a look at the other picture, with eyes that are now able to work in synchronicity, sending the same image to the brain. 💪 What that translates to as far as performance . . ✅ increased strength gains . . ✅ quicker recovery . . ✅ fewer injuries . . ✅ greater range of motion . . ✅ better reaction time . .
