Hell karamellen i en passende form å strø over hakkede peanøtter.
This year's challenge... growing peanuts. Contrary to popular belief... it's not a nut but a vegetable belonging to the legume family (peas, beans, etc). It likes sandy soils and long hot summers, but Valencia is just might be ok for Southern Ontario at 100 grow days. Perhaps the hot patio will trick it into thinking it's in Southern USA/Mexico? 😋 #peanuts#garden#growyourownfood
This Indian Peanut Brittle is a Maharashtraian dessert sweet candy. #indianfood#indiansweets#indianfoodbloggers#peanuts#peanutbrittle#indianrecipes#easyrecipes Ingredients: 500 gms shelled, skinless peanuts 300 gms jaggery, cut into small pieces/ 300 gms soft brown sugar 4 tbsps ghee/ clarified butter Preparation: * Heat a pan on a medium flame, and gently roast (stirring frequently) the peanuts till aromatic. Remove from heat and cool. * Grease a large, flat plate with some ghee and keep aside. * Put a deep, heavy-bottomed pan on the fire (medium heat) and add the jaggery/ brown sugar and ghee to it. Allow to melt and cook (stirring almost continuously) till it turns dark brown. Test for doneness now and often till ready. You will know it is ready when a drop of it put onto a clean surface, cools to harden to a brittle consistency. * Turn off the heat and add the roasted peanuts. Fold in so the peanuts are fully coated. Immediately pour this mixture onto the previously greased plate and smooth with the back of the spoon to form a flat, 1/2" thick layer. Allow to cool then break into bite-sized pieces. * Shengdana Chikki can be stored for a couple of days in an airtight container, in a cool, dry place.

🚨A BATTLE BETWEEN TWO FAVORITES🚨 - 🤔Almond Butter Vs. Peanut Butter - 🌰Almond butter is a great source of vitamin E, calcium, fiber, and other minerals. - 🥜Peanut butter may not pack the same nutrient-punch, however is a better source of protein, great for heart health, and much cheaper. - It’s important to note that both are healthy options, but with some caveats... - ✅When purchasing any nut butter (almond and peanut included) it’s very important that you READ THE LABEL. Anything that contains more than the nut + salt you should definitely avoid. - ✅Both are very caloric and can add up quickly. Try measuring out a true serving size to give yourself and idea of how much you should be consuming...you may be surprised (and probably disappointed) by the amount 😪. - ✅Almond butter contains oxalates and peanut butter contains lectins. Both of which can cause gut issues for certain people if eaten in large amounts, so be mindful. - While almond butter is generally the healthier choice due to its nutrient profile and omega 3 content...I still gotta say that I’m Team Peanut Butter 😬🥜🙌🏼 - Having said that, I love both on toast, rice cakes, in smoothies, and just straight out of the jar 😋 - Which team are you on? Why peanuts? Protein and fiber. Peanuts improve satiety and help maintain weight loss. Several studies have found that eating small amounts of nuts helps dieters lose weight; when nuts were allowed in their eating plans, they did not feel deprived. Nutrients. Peanuts are abundant in the vitamins niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, thiamin, riboflavin, choline, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin E and rich in minerals like magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, zinc, iron, copper, manganese and selenium. Disease control. Studies have found eating peanuts five times a week decreased heart disease and reduced the risk of diabetes, gallbladder disease and colorectal cancer. Peanuts and peanut butter are included on the DASH diet eating plan, which helps lower blood pressure. Antiaging. Peanuts have been found to contain the potent antiaging molecule resveratrol, the same phytochemical found in red wine and grapes. Studies have shown that resveratrol can fight the proliferation of fat cells and improve the uptake of sugar from the blood. The resveratrol in peanuts is found in the seed itself and the skin. Cholesterol. When postmenopausal women with high cholesterol were fed a low-fat diet that included healthy fats from peanuts, their cholesterol improved. The phytosterols that peanuts contain have been shown to reduce cholesterol. * * * * * #getfit#workout#thisisproperexciting#f4f#followme#wokingham#gethealthy#healthylife#healthyfood#healthyeating#changeyourlife#motivation#lossweight#getfit#doitforyou#fitness#fitnessmotivation#amazing#trainer#results#realpeople#personaltrainer#mylifestyletraining#peanuts
