- I’ve never made a turkey, so I started off with a small turkey breast 🦃 playing around with Keto 📸 @pcosgirl_ @pcosgirl_  Thanksgiving recipes today 👩🏽‍🍳 • One of my goals for 2019 is to experiment more in the kitchen and learn more about all the different flavors and ingredients. It’s so easy for me to get in the habit of making the same thing all the time, esp when I’m busy with work. The show @saltfatacidheat on Netflix inspired me again to continue to challenge myself with new recipes and ingredients in the kitchen. I can’t wait! • I always forget how healing being in the kitchen and cooking is for me. I have a lot of exciting ideas which I can’t wait to share with you all xo. What are your favorite thanksgiving foods? I loooove anything but especially corn 🌽 • Recipe dEATs: marinate turkey breast (I got mine @wholefoods ) in 1/4 cup chicken broth, 2 tsp olive oil, 2 tsp ghee, add 1-2 tsp of himalayan pink sea salt, one mandarin orange and some zest, a few pieces of rosemary & sage, and sprinkle of thyme. Every once in a while, you come across a recipe that can be an absolute game-changer. I love pizza, but I refuse to make it with cauliflower and coconut/almond flours still rack up more carbs than I’m comfortable with. The answer? Pizza crust made out of pork scratchings! [MY AUTOIMMUNE STORY PART FIVE] So far I have shared the beginning of my story—how I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2012 and how in 2014 my health just completely erupted. I was dealing with thyroid issues, major gut infections, hormone imbalances, and even though I was eating the healthiest diet of anyone that I knew, that infection was so bad that all my tests showed that my body was not absorbing vitamins and nutrients from my food. Multiple times a week for about five months I had to be fed intravenously to make sure my body was getting what it needed since simply eating wasn’t doing the trick. I was following all the protocols that my doctor put my on, but it was SLOW progress. And by slow, I was questioned if I was even making any at all. . . I just want to take a second here to talk about a part of autoimmune disease that we don’t talk about as much, and that’s the grief that comes with finding out you have a chronic illness. The grief that your life will never be the same as it was or how you thought it would be. Grieving for your actual body (and even being downright angry at it at times) because it won’t function in the way that it should. Instead of being for you, your immune system is against you. And it took nearly a year of me walking through the grieving process of accepting this health journey. That I would have limitations here and there because of my health. That things that once came so easy never would again. That health had to be prioritized and my life had to revolve around different things. . . Friends, this is NORMAL, and even more than that, it is GOOD. It is okay to grief for a life you once thought you would have that is suddenly different because of chronic illness. It doesn’t mean that that life still won’t be good. It doesn’t mean that you won’t change and may even be all the stronger and better because of it. But it is a loss, a loss that we must face in order to move forward into healing. [More to come in

Regardless of what is going on with your clients, one thing is for sure...they should not be drinking tap water or well water. . If it's on municipal water, you're getting exposed to drug residue from all your neighbors, who are taking thyroid- and birth control pills and blood pressure medication. You're getting herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals and then you're getting the highlights: chlorine and bromine. Those things will interact with your thyroid. . Just say NO to tap and well water!
