It's nice to have a night off from cooking dinner once in a while yet still be able to get something that is made from nutritious whole foods without any nasties! We love ordering Guzman y Gomez because they are vegan friendly which is perfect for us 🌱 What's even better is that they've now launched a kids meal called Little G's which comes in a cool colourful box 😍 It includes your choice of kids menu item, fries or carrot discs and a bottle of water 👌 and they start from only $8.90! 😱 @guzmanygomez #litttlegs#gyglittlegs#gygkids#gygaus#ad

It's Never Too Late to Save for #college! 👨🎓👩🎓 Setting aside #funds to cover the costs of college does not need to start at #birth. Tax planning strategies that can enable you to maximize your #financial resources are available even in the last year of #school We recommend you speak with a U-Nest support team to help determine appropriate strategies that make sense for you.
PRAISING YOUR CHILD: straight from the book! When giving your child feedback or recommending they do something one way or another, using these 2 approaches can be incredibly effective! The descriptions in the pictures explain generally what the book is explaining, so I'll use examples from when I teach as to how Ihave successfully (don't worry, there are always failures too!) apply these tools for my students. Often I'll tie both desrcobing effort and progress into the one piece of feedback. When kids are learning a front kick for example, the process can be very complicated starting off. When they do part of the process right, I identify that section. I.e. The way you lifted your knee then was bang on! That was a great effort and I love that you took the time to think about it and give your body a chance to do it. Brilliant effort and extremely well done! The next bit is just making sure we pull our knee back after we kick out. But keep going through that process, give yourself the time to work it out and keep doing your best and we'll get that very soon too. Then I give them a high 5 and let them work on the next step. In that their effort and thought process is being praised, but also the process they've gone through, what they got that time in that process, and something else to keep working towards. Drilling these things so they become automatic takes time, so don't stress if it's a bit difficult to start with, that's 100% fine. Give yourself time to practice giving praise in these simple ways and just see what happens with your child, and let me know some of the changes you notice. Some things you might see will be more willingness to try new and more challenging things, greater ability to accept feedback and improve as a result, rather than seeing it as a personal attack, growth in confidence, discipline, self esteem and so much more! Have you felt the subtle difference between being and thinking? • Both are important functions to health and wellness but often times thinking and worrying (sub category of thinking) stays on automatic which can keep the nervous system revved up and in a continual state of “fight or flight” • One way of relaxing and tapping into being (and trusting, which I argue is a sub category of being) is via the breath which anchors you into the present. • While your mind can take you just about anywhere your body is the one thing for sure in the present moment. A relaxed focus on the breath softens the thinking function and shifts us into being (being in the present moment). Once you can fully distinguish between the two it becomes an accessible choice you get to make. • Practices like meditation, qigong, yoga and breathwork help us not only relax the thinking mind and help us feel calm and present but really help us distinguish between thinking and being. • Is there something you do that helps you shift from thinking/worrying into being/trusting?
