So, I tried oils the other day (I am going to try make a video because I love watching videos like it) and at first I lovvveeed them... The consistency and drying time made it a lot easier to blend but then due to this, I ran into a problem that made me go from 😁 to 😑. It would be impossible for me to explain, but I’m also wanting to experiment more with oils, so not completely bad. Just something that needs to be practiced!! Any tips & advice for oil painting ⬇️
Here is a challenge for you guys! 1️⃣ Observe the steps of my dandelion painting carefully 2️⃣ Take our your watercolors and complete the painting 3️⃣ Post your results with tag @fasolkoart #essayart 🌞Just a small set of advice: 🌼All you need is the basic set of watercolors (I use @schmincke_official Horadam 12 colours set, but any other alternatives like White Nights or even Maries will do). 🌸It is important to do a relatively detailed sketch before committing to the colours. 🌝I love working light to dark. Sometimes mixing happens not on the palette itself but on paper as I layer colors in the glaze technique.
