#wcw Lise. Most people want to get drinks on their 40th, but she wants to travel a zillion miles to climb ice-covered cliffs, and that's badass. Here's to many more adventures lady. Much love. And hitchhiking (a thing that happened). . . Slide 1: Lise crushing Slide 2: me wildly pumped, but onsighting Slide 3: hooligans
I don’t know patience I’ve heard her name, met all the syrupy mummerings found in dark drizzling alleyways I’ve become intertwined with these saturated rumors of all she is capable of all she endures, and I, wish up at the stars nightly for a glimpse of her pale glimmer for the hope, that one day I can meet her under willow trees under the cover of noonday, to become someone who understands time, as deeply as she does.
TwICE as nice. Still time to climb frozen waterfalls in the backcountry this year. With cold temps and high moisture, it’s as good as it gets 👊🏼 #mountaintrip Get in touch with us for more details. Photo by guide/director @ophirtodd.
A little sunset action for your morning. I actually came across this horse twice because I needed to backtrack from a trail I was on, and then later on I found out I was on Ralph Lauren’s land, and that was one of his horses! Made the RL brand on the horse make more sense🙄🤷🏻♂️In other news, the backroads and trails this time of year have a very steep learning curve, and I’m learning fast! Going to need to invest in some recovery gear like @maxtraxhq and just meatier tires as well. Even though I didn’t make it to my planned spot that night, I got a good picture out of it! Always a silver lining 🤙🏼
It took me 15+ years to finally learn that Sheila,Sage and Sienna are up for a lot of amazing adventures as long as I allow them time to eat breakfast then give them time to eat throughout the day, generously use hand warmers, minimize their exposure in single digit temperatures and ensure that their gear is better than mine. #ouray Colorado is one of our most fun trips together. I suspect however that Kevin, our foreign exchange student, is not exactly sure what he got himself into. It was 6-degrees Fahrenheit when I took the video of Sage after the ice screw stuck to her tongue. #infinitnutrition#blackdiamondequipment#arcteryx#petzl#outdoorresearch#outdoorprolink
Our beautiful 1872 Chikerling Grand Piano enjoying its retirement in the lobby of our lovely ol’ hotel. Kathy Meyer worked at the hotel in the 1950’s. She loved the hotel so much that she donated this beauty to the Ouray County Historical Society under the condition that they lease it us. To give you an idea of just how old it is: the reason the piano is a rectangle shape is so that it can fit in a covered wagon.
