So, this happened today Salted Tahini Pumpkin Pie idea occurred to me few weeks ago immediately wrote it down, as all recipes start as an idea on paper to be tested and tweaked in the kitchen what better way to procrastinate a looming book deadline than baking pie swiped a taste of batter before it went in the oven, and oh, my the finished pie is even better than imagined not sweet, just right, hint of tahini that makes you wonder “what’s different about this pie” recognizable, perhaps, by only an aware palate did I ever tell you I once won a blind taste testing contest against an award-winning pastry chef?
