If you live in a small space (apartment in NYC for example!), you need to get creative about where to put things. This photo shows removable hooks on the side of a chest of drawers, being used to hold small handbags so that they are close by, organized and easy to grab and go!

#ontheblog Homeowners who purchase their homes before the age of 35 are better prepared for retirement at age 60, according to a new Urban Institute study. The organization surveyed adults who turned 60 or 61 between 2003 and 2015 for their data set. ------------ The study results gave a great reason why this generation should consider buying instead of signing a renewal on their lease: “As people age into retirement, they rely more heavily on their wealth rather than their income to support their lifestyles. Today’s young adults are failing to build housing wealth, the largest single source of wealth, at the same rate as previous generations. While people make the choice to own or rent that suits them at a given point, maybe more young adults should take into account the long-term consequences of renting when homeownership is an option.” If you are one of the many young people debating whether buying a home this year is right for you, let's book an appointment to discuss how to use homeownership as a wealth building tool. If I had made it out of the house on NYE, this would have been the dress I wore! ✨ Buuuut I didn’t make it. 🤷🏽♀️😂 I’m gonna find somewhere nice to wear it one of these days, watch! 😂 . Anyway, #ontheblog yesterday I shared five lessons I learned in 2018 and how I am applying them to my life in 2019! I’m being pretty transparent & open with you guys so I hope you’ll go check it out! 🤗 What is something you learned in 2018 that will be to your benefit in 2019? 💗
Let me tell you the story of a house 🏠. Not my house, mind you, but a house that somehow managed to derail my thoughts for a full week. . Over the past couple of years, my husband and I have tossed around the idea of moving. We know exactly where we want to live, how much we can afford, and the type of house that would be right for our family. But like many things in life, it’s never been the right timing. . Every so often I’ll jump on a real estate website to check on our home’s value, see what homes are selling for in our neighborhood, and peek at what’s on the market in the very specific location we have our eyes on. Do you see where this is going? . One such time, I stumbled across a house that was exactly what we were looking for. I couldn’t get this house out of my head. As I obsessed over it, I started doing calculations and making some of my famously detailed lists. In short, it consumed me. I still went through the motions of work, kids, and daily life, but I was distracted, so distracted. . I was actually thankful when I saw that little “sale pending” update on Zillow. . I often let distraction cause discontentment and lack of trust in God’s timing and provision and completely lose focus on the things that God has very clearly shown me He wants me to work on in this season. I don’t want to let myself get off course like that again, even for a week. But I do it every day, with minor things, like always having my phone in sight or consuming too much content or trying to cram too much into my day. . How do we stay focused, not only on tasks at hand but also on Jesus, in an age of constant distraction? Here are the 6 habits that have helped me keep my eyes on what matters most. . 🎉Link to new blog post in bio! 🎉 . #pamelareneeblog#cultivatewhatmatters#focused#distractions#gracenotperfection#littlebylittle
Your different was your beautiful all along 🦋✨ ——- I always used to think “I may not be the most beautiful girl in the world, but at least I have a good heart” as if I had to excuse myself for not looking a certain way or as if that truly was THE LEAST of me. It’s funny how as time passes, and you age, and you grow, and you slowly begin to accept yourself and your crazy bed head, your scars, your crooked smile, your dorky humor, how slowly the idea that you are beautiful just the way you are, one day suddenly begins to feel real and true to you too. I have always accepted others, just the way they are so why couldn’t I do that for myself? Sometimes, or at least in my case, it takes time. If I could go back and give young me advice, I’d probably tell her this “stop comparing yourself, the beauty you see in others, IS the beauty that you are.” Everyday it becomes more clear to me that beauty is a reflection of how we choose to see the world, to see others, to live our life.. find the beauty in everyday, in everyone and everything, and let that be a mere measure of the tremendous beauty that you are.. reflect yourself in that beauty that you see! Because guess what? It’s true. You are beautiful! Just the way you are. ✨ Happy Thursday my loves ✨ Open up your hearts 💗 —- thank you to my friends @gtyphotography for this photo, it was such a pleasure working with you ❤️ —- #adventure#thehappynow#photooftheday#picoftheday#photodaily#postthepeople#livethelittlethings#thatsdarling#flashesofdelight#blogger#ontheblog#bloggerlife#phoenixblogger#arizonablogger#arizona#azfitness#phxblogger
Skincare Review: Dr Dermal Total Rejuvenation Plasma and MicroRetinol 5 Rich Repair. _____________________________________________ As a cosmeceutical range that has been developed by skincare professionals, Dr Dermal's skincare products are cruelty-free, free from SLS, artificial fragrance and artificial colourants. I received these two products a while back and have been testing them since. The Total Rejuvenation Plasma is a lightweight serum that has a matte finish (great to wear under makeup!). I spot apply this on areas that are prone to acne and this product has really helped to reduce congestion and skin texture (especially on and around the nose area). _____________________________________________ The MicroRetinol 5 Rich Repair aims to boost cellular renewal and stimulate collagen production. Like the serum, I spot treat with this and I slowly introduced it into my skincare routine. Seriously, it took me around 2 months to fully integrate it into my routine. Personally, this cream product has helped to strengthen my skin barrier post-breakouts. However, I strongly suggest seeing a dermatologist before incorporating a retinol into your skincare routine. _____________________________________________ It took quite a while for me to see results with these products but I really like them so far. I'm going to be posting updates and more in-depth reviews on these Dr Dermal products so stay tuned 🌸. Have you tried any Dr Dermal products? Comment down below! #burgundyxdrdermal
Skincare Review: Cosrx One Step Moisture Up Kit (R80 at Shop Glow Theory). _____________________________________________ I really like this Korean skincare pack - it's easy to use and great for travelling. Step one is cleansing and this moisture kit contains a sample size of the Cosrx Good Morning Low pH Cleanser. This is one of my fave cleansers (I own a full size of it) because it's gentle yet effective. The second step is a sachet that contains a Moisture Up Pad. This is another cult product from Cosrx and I really enjoyed using it. It is soaked in product and, after application, my skin feels soft and hydrated. However, I do think the results will be greater if you use this type of product on a regular basis. _____________________________________________ The third and final step is the Holy Moly Snail Sheet Mask. Like the moisture pad, this is packed with hydrating and soothing ingredients (mainly snail essence and red ginseng water). Again, this is super hydrating and refreshing for the skin. I used this kit when my skin was recovering from a breakout (so it was a little dry and flakey) and it really helped to soothe my skin and alleviate the flaking. I think this is a cool product for traveling since it contains most products for a basic skincare routine. Also, it's a nice way to test out the Low pH Cleanser and Moisture Up Pad if you're on the fence about purchasing the full size versions. Fave products from Cosrx? Comment down below! #burgundyxcosrx
