So yesterday we finally picked up the keys and gave the house a good ol' clean before we move in all of our belongings over the weekend. Took a few hours to blow away all of the cobwebs so to speak but it was so exciting! Our minds are currently whizzing at a thousand miles an hour about how we are going to do this lovely house and what we are going to do first! 🏡 we also came in to find a bottle of wine and a very thoughtful card left by the sellers which was such a sweet surprise. #newhome#oldhome#1970shouse#renovation#project#completionday#terracedhouse#home#bluebathroom#movinghouse
My mom has collected these for a long time as decor for my sister’s room. I guess I stole her idea. 😘 But how pretty are these for my possible future dressing room vanity?! Vintage glam. Functional beauty!!
Instead of "turning the page" - today we were tearing apart the Page! The front porch was in such disarray the only thing that could be done was to take it down and rebuild. Once the front porch is completely removed the columns need some love and support (pun intended) and new trusses can be set. After the trusses are set a new roof system (tin roof included) will be installed. We can't wait to see the final result - which will just be a clean and sturdy version of what is currently there. #turningthepage#renovation#home#oldhome#newporch#demoday#heavylifting#watchout
I honestly can’t even come up with a caption tonight. 😂 Maybe I’m still tired from cleaning out the entire chicken coop in the freezing cold. 🥶 Not much happened around here today, so you tell me what you did today instead! 🤗❤️ #hideandseekfarm#pocketdoors#farmhousediningroom
WE BUY HOUSES FOR CA$H!!! WHY WORK WITH LEGACYREALTY INVESTING? When we work directly with a home seller, what we provide can not only make for a smooth transaction, but it can also add up to thousands upon thousands of dollars in savings as compared to selling a home through traditional means. With the ability to directly purchase homes and make cash offers, we can create extremely fast and hassle-free transactions. . . . There are many creative ways to help you out of any situation. We pride ourselves on our reputation for working one-on-one with each customer to handle each individual situation; and it’s our goal to make each client feel like we achieved a WIN-WIN scenario. . . . Most homeowners have no idea what options are available to them beyond listing a house with a Realtor or trying to sell the house on their own and just hoping for the best. We provide a unique alternative to listing their house on their own or with a Realtor. Your Realtor gets paid a commission for his or her services which is a percentage of the home’s selling price. In most cases, you may also be encouraged to fix up your home and yard to attract more potential buyers – and sometimes it can involve hiring expensive contractors. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * CONTACT US @ 732.955.4483 or fill out our simple form on our website https://www.legacyrealtyinvesting.com/sell * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * #legacyrealtyinvesting#realestate#realty#realestateagent#realestatebroker#investor#investment#properties#asis#distressedhomes#anycondition#oldhome#newhome#betterhomes#betterfuture#takeaction#probate#preforeclosure#foreclosure#bankrupcy#freeandclear#outofstateowner#codeviolation#webuyhouses#middlesexcounty#monmouthcounty#njrealestate#centraljersey
We believe that no space is too small or transitional for exquisite details and master handiwork. From custom millwork, to hand-milled pine floors with traditional cut nails, to exposed timber beams sand-blasted to remove 200 years’ worth of paint and stain, this 1800s farmhouse is a study in how details make the design in every space of a home.
Post #2: Turret Appreciation post—I really like turrets. It’s a distinctive feature to a home. Turrets provide a level of class and sophistication that I don’t think architecture today can provide. Our Saint Louis Brick makes these Victorian style homes even more unique. Again, something absent in today’s architecture. Wikipedia defines a turret as—“a small tower that projects vertically from the wall of a building such as a medieval castle” Tags: #stl#stlhomes#oldhome#oldhomes#turret#victorian#brick#stlbrick
AFTER!!!! We had them stained in Royal Mahogany and the sheen is Satin. . 1. Stain: It really bugged me that the floors and the trim were originally different stains like in the previous post (weird things bug me, I know)... this was due to the trim being stained dark several times throughout the homes life and the floors having been previously sanded down and stained at another point in its life. So I decided that no matter what, this time, I wanted them to match as best as I could - apparently it’s very hard to get an exact match. But I’d say we did PRETTY good! . 2. Sheen: This one I researched and settled on Satin. I was warned against dark floors because they show dust, but I’m over here like... don’t light floors show dirt?!?! So I threw caution to the wind and here we are with DARK floors, which I absolutely love! The good thing about a Satin sheen is that it hides imperfections, scratches, and most of all, DUST! With floors that are over 100 years old, this is veryyyyy important! . Do you guys have a love/hate relationship with your floors?! . #windsor#windsorarchitecture#walkerville#oldhome#oldhomelove#heritage#home#house#architecture#interiordesign#restore#flooring#oak#conservation#fixerupper#hgtv#thisplacematters#historic#history#beforeandafter
It’s Wednesday friends! So, I need your help! Our downstairs bathroom is in need of a major facelift. These tan and mint stripes especially have to go. But, I can’t decide on how to paint it! Should I do the faux shiplap that I’ve been seeing everywhere? By the way, I can’t believe I’ve never known about this! People just use a sharpie or black paint to literally make lines on their walls and it looks like shiplap! 🤯 #mindblown So anyways, faux shiplap or maybe a moody dark grey? PLEASE HELP! . . . . . .#mowenmanor #mowenmanorblog#interiordesign#instahome#oldhome#instadecor#fauxshiplap#bathroomdesign
A corner of our bedroom. A major problem with an old house is lack of storage. We have 4 closets total in this house, none in this room. Which means a lot of things sit out in the open. We use clothes racks at the moment (not shown) to hang clothes. I eventually would like an armoire on either side of the window here, and move the dressers to the other wall. We do not own a lot of clothes really, but it would be nice to have them out of sight!
Are you someone who is interested in Woodworking? Possibly wanting to run your own business in Woodworking? Or maybe you just want to hangout in a sweet shop eating some wings with a beer. Join us at @redirectedwoodco shop and store front where we’ll talk shop, tool demo’s and some things we’ve learned over the years in business. Space is limited please DM either myself or @redirectedwoodco to let us know you’re coming. Let’s say if you do come seeing Meek try eat wings without getting BBQ sauce in his massive beard is quite entertaining.🤣🤣
I had a different post but this picture of the half bath seems more convenient for today. Yesterday, potty training all of the sudden clicked for our littlest girl so we have been spending a lot of time in here. Is it stupid that I almost got choked up when I saw her figure it all out? It was just another thing that made me realize she is growing up. It’s a great thing but time goes fast. But yay for less smelly diapers! + Swipe for before pictures of the bathroom. This dry-sink, now vanity is still one of my favorite finds especially for $30👌🏼Check out our story highlights under “bathrooms” for more. #therenovatednest
