AD - Gifted for blog coverage| I recently stumbled across a load of photo albums from my childhood. It wasn't just photo albums it was sleeves filled with photos and negatives from previous trips and memory making. It made me realise just how different life is now. Instead of popping down to the local pharmacy and waiting around a week to get the pictures off of a camera, they're instantly there to do what we want with them and with Facebook and Instagram just a tap away, I'm guilty of not making enough effort to print the memories of Shaniah's childhood out. I think we have all become a little too dependent on social media, we think that its always going to be there and as a result we take it for granted. I was given the opportunity to work with @max_spielmann_photo and put together a photobook with some of my favourite pictures of Shaniah. I have documented the process on my blog if you're interested in creating one yourself! The link is, as always, in my bio.
4 MONTHS YOUNG | Okay so it was a few days ago but my mommy said she needed daddy's help to take this photo. Apparently I kick way to much for her to take a good shot, I like kicking my chunky legs to keep them fit 😉 I'm starting to enjoy my toys so much more, everything taste so goooood, I have them in my mouth the whole time! I am able to shake my rattle and chew my teether all on my own and I'm quite a fan of tummy time. My mommy started giving me porridge and yesterday she gave me Butternut and let me tell you, I love eating!! Everything is so squishy and I like playing with my food as well. . . . My mommy said I'm going to school soon, I'm so excited! I enjoy chooooing and talking to everyone and consider myself a social baby. My mommy is very sad to leave me but I know she will be okay. My daddy still makes me laugh with his sillyness. He calls me "my poppie" and "baba indaba" which I find very amusing. All and all I am a happy and healthy baby. I weigh 7.7 kgs and my mom uses me to excersise her arms (which I also find amusing). Life is still pretty good as a baby 😉💖 . . . . #lifewithbaby#nubysabrandrepsearch#4monthsold#babylove
Something as simple as watching the sun rise or sun set can alter your mind into a beautiful awareness of truly how lucky we are. 🌄 . Let's start putting more energy into the positive instead of the negative.

Nature’s candy! Levi must have eaten at least 10 of these juicy beauties today. Let’s hope he doesn’t wake up tonight with a tummy ache! If you have a good recipe for apricot jam, please share it with me! We are ready to harvest our bounty, and we have way more than we can possibly eat ourselves. I’m happy to share these tasty little treats if you’re local!
Zaphora is out of school for the summer so we decided to head to Bloor West Village for a little girl date. We bought some flowers and walked around this charming little community that has so many amazing local stores! From flower shops to cute fruit stands, there’s something for everybody here. Our final stop was the ‘Say Tea’ tea shop. I love the experience of shopping for loose tea leaves. Something about smelling the leaves and bringing home your picks makes me so happy! Tea shopping with my mom in London is one of my fondest memories as a kid and love that I got to experience that with my Zaphie girl. @bloorwestvillagebia #smallvillagebigcity#bloorwestvillage#ad

When you take a selfie vs when someone replies to your story 🤣 every. single. time. Like, we have to always address the hysterical shot and laugh before I reply back to their actual question or comment. Thanks for helping me keep it REAL real. See folks, this is why you never get wrapped up in the squares. Because we are all just a bunch of looney toons taking pretty pictures.
Monday might be over, but remember, it’s just another day. The difference is in your mindset. Whether it’s Friday or Monday, it’s what you make of it. It’s a chance to start new, a chance to try again. Remember that for tomorrow 💫
Once we loaded up the car to head home from the pool, everyone strapped in, I turned all the way around in the driver’s seat, was sure to look them in the eye and told them how much I love spending my days with them. Charlotte, always quick with a response, laughed and seemed confused and said, “But mom, we’re kids, you have to be with us!” Took the air right out of my lungs. Sure, of course, I do have to be with them. My aim is to make sure that they know I WANT to be with them. These sweet days with just the 4 of us are numbered and precious. I will miss these days. I WANT to be with them and if nothing else, before this sweet season is over they will know that.
Double tap if your toddler was CRAZY today! . Y'all, today was a DAY. My two year old was doing all. of. the. things. Example: After changing the baby's diaper, I legit walked out to him coloring with a marker on my Chromebook 😱 Who does that?!?! . Little people do. Little people who need a whole lot of love and a whole lot of correction and a whole lot of direction. Parenting is exhausting! . I tried to remind myself over and over that this is his training ground. This was just another opportunity to teach him. And then another and another and another and another... . I don't have anything profound to say. But if you had a rough day and you were pressed and pushed and your nerves were played like a harp, I've got a look full of compassion, grace, and empathy directed at you. High five for sticking it out.
• Utah Retreat in January 🏔 • LA leadership conference in February 🌇 • Caribbean cruise in March🏖 • Indy summit in T minus 30 days🏎 Can’t wait to hang with my crew💜 I totally didn’t join this for the all the trips, top leadership trainings or for the community 🤷🏻♀️ I joined because I needed accountability for sticking to my workouts and to help me learn how to eat good nutrition. ☺️ The rest was like 🅱🅾🅽🆄🆂✨ If ya ever wondered what coaching is all about >>> check it out!! @empowerednation_411 Ya know ... I didn’t think it would be for me either 💗✌🏽 #blessingindisguise#whoknewright
This week’s episode of Good to Be Home is about staying connected with your spouse - beyond date nights and in the midst of our busy, everyday lives.⠀ ⠀ You know we love our date nights, but sometimes it can’t happen. And even though those date nights are a great way to keep the connection there, it’s not the only way. So we’re sharing a practical, actionable list of small ways we deliberately stay connected through the days, week, and months. ⠀ ⠀ Russ said in the episode “The daily maintenance is going to be less work than the complete abandonment you’re trying to resurrect after years of going off course.” It can be easy to brush off time to connect with your spouse (hello, chores/kids/work/tiredness, etc!) But it will be harder to recover after brushing it off too long, and it can happen ever so slowly. We’ve actually been there, and we don’t want to go back to that. ⠀ ⠀ We’re not marriage experts - we’re just talking from experience! More than WHAT you do, it’s being intentional that you’re doing something to stay connected on a regular basis. Wherever you are at in your marriage, we hope you can relate and find value in this episode. Link in bio!⠀ ⠀ (And if you’re hearing weird audio quality on this episode, we’re so sorry! 😖 Try listening on different speakers or deleting/redownloading it 💚)#goodtobehomepodcast
Oliver wanted to sit and read to “baby ev-uh” (as he calls Ava) after nap time. So she’s been holding her little head up listening while I sit back and watch him point out all of the different animals and shapes to her. These are small moments. But these are THE moments. ✨
