Throwback Thursday to that time I thought it would be a cool idea to go through a @spartanrace Big Bear in my graduation gown, being I had just had my graduation commencement ceremony the day before. Can we say hot! And not the sexy kind of hot either. 🤣🤣🤣
Day 3 of @ocrbeast.co #deadhang challenge. We broke this one into 50 seconds and then 30 seconds. Although the bearded one of us could've held it the entire time. But we like to do stuff together so he broke it into what I (Dana) could do. Great job to everyone that's hanging!
What obstacle drives you nuts when you fail it at a race? Ours is the spear throw. It's easy right? Just throw it and make it stick in that bale of straw. No big deal. Wrong! You can practice, practice, practice, and still miss it on a race day. The rope could get caught up on the gate, or worse your foot is on the rope (hate it when that happens). It could be windy and your throw is off or you just whiff it. You could throw it dead on but not hard enough so it doesn't stick. Or here's one we've had...came to the spear throw, on the last race of a trifecta weekend, and there wasn't any straw bales left to throw at! (Talking about you WV!) We've all had at least one or all of these things happen to us during a race. But, man oh man, when we nail a spear throw, we don't know about you, but we get great satisfaction from it! So many times, we have to do burpees because we miss. But that moment that spear sticks, these words go through my head... "No burpees today Spear Throw."
