THE MAGIC OF CUTTING CARBS by @lb3fitness⁣ ⁣ 🧙🏻‍♂️ We’ve all heard it 1000 times. If you want to lose weight, you have to cut out carbs. Wether it’s sugar, refined carbs, simple carbs, white carbs, or just all carbs in general, we get the point, these guys are BAD, right?⁣ ⁣ 🤦🏼‍♂️ WRONG! Carbs are fine. They are a necessary nutrient. Plus, they are delicious. We should not demonize carbs. They can and should be consumed as part of a healthy, well rounded diet.⁣ ⁣ 🙋🏼‍♂️”Actually, my aunt/boss/boyfriend/sisters brothers uncle cut out carbs, and the lost TONS of weight!” Wow! Great! Congrats to them!⁣ ⁣ 🤓 Here’s the thing though. Cutting out carbs does work. You can very well lose weight like that. But it’s not because there is any inherent magic behind cutting out carbs, or because carbs are bad. It just happens to be that MOST of the food we eat on a day to day basis, are carbs. So when you cut carbs out of your diet, it’s not that the lack of carbs are making you lose weight, it’s the fact that you just cut out 70% of your overall calories.⁣ ⁣ 🥗 I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it a thousand times more: it’s calories in, vs calories out. Create a caloric deficit, meaning eat less calories that you burn, and you will lose weight. That’s it! No magic, no gimmicks.⁣ ⁣ 🥪So, if you want to cut out carbs, have at it! Just know, that if it causes you to lose weight, it is because cutting out those carbs caused you to eat less than you were eating before. Ironically, you will always get a result no matter what. It’s just a case of which results you get and what lead to them. You’re either doing something ‘consistently’ right or ‘consistently’ wrong over time. . No one has ever lost 12 stone in an hour. . Whether it’s the fad diet you ‘consistently’ do for 12 weeks that gives you desired results, until you fall off and end up reverting back or worse, if you scale out and look at the 20 week total. OR The slow lifestyle changes you make ‘consistently’ one at a time that accumulate to your results. . The bottom line is over what ever time frame you want to get a certain result in, constancy to progress in that time is KEY!  Where you end up at the end of that time period is up to you!!
