-Antioxidantes  El uso de antioxidantes de manera crónica es utilizado para prevenir daño oxidativo, sin embargo, parece contraindicado en deporte. Por qué? El ejercicio produce el aumento de las especies reactivas de oxígeno lo que hace que una de las adaptaciones sea la generación de una mayor capacidad antioxidante de nuestro organismo.  Si se utilizan todos los días un aporte extra de antioxidantes, las adaptaciones al entrenamiento son menores dado que se elimina el estímulo de la presencia de elementos oxidantes.  En el caso de gente entrenada, su capacidad antioxidante ya es elevada porque están adaptados a la presencia de especies reactivas de oxígeno. Si eliminamos los pequeños nuevos estímulos generados por el entrenamiento con el aporte de antioxidantes, podemos estancar la mejora.  Cuándo puede ser interesantes su uso? Cuando la carga de competiciones o de estrés sea alta de modo que lo que se busca es mejorar las recuperaciones y no nuevas adaptaciones. I didn’t have to pack a lunch today because the kids have a day off. And they got more practice on prepping by themselves. 🙌 They also inhaled it so I got no pics: tofu, meatless meatballs, and potato chips.  I’ll share my lunch with you though! 📷: rainbow cauliflower, jicama, zucchini, spinach, and smartlife chick’n strips seasoned with TJs Umami and drizzled with their Cashew Fiesta dip and salsa. 🌟CHEESECAKE DE LIMÓN SIN HORNO🌟 . . Previa de finde y nada mejor que algo rico para merendar. Les dejo esta opción de mas de rica! . . #receta . Ingredientes: . 🔴Relleno: . ⚬Queso untable descremado: 3/4 pote de 300g . ⚬Azúcar implacable: 3 cdas. soperas al ras (o edulcorante a gusto: vas mezclando y te fijas). . ⚬Jugo de 2-3 limones y ralladura de uno. . ⚬Extracto de vainilla: un chorrito. . ⚬Gelatina sin sabor disuelta en un poquito de jugo de limon o agua caliente . . Mezclé todo hasta lograr el punto de sabor que yo quería: mucho sabor a limón y que ni se sienta el sabor del queso. . 🔴Base: . Usé lo que tenía en casa: copos sin azúcar procesados o triturados, coco rallado, avena instantánea procesada, maní pelado en trocitos chicos y almendras en escamas picadas. A todo eso, lo mezclé y lo uní con 1 banana pisada, pisas como fijando la base con una espátula y rellenas. . 🔴Armado: . Usé un molde para cheesecake tamaño 12 cm. Agregué la base y la pisé con una espátula para fijar.  Arriba, agregué el relleno y llevé, tapado pero sin que toque la superficie del cheesecake, a  heladera por 3-4 hs.  Listo!!! . . 👉Si querés versión mas light, usá edulcorante (aprox. 4-5 sobrecitos, andá probando). Recent research has found a significant association between diet and dermatological diseases. The onset and clinical course of various common skin diseases, especially acne, psoriasis, dermatitis, and hair loss, have been suggested to be severely affected by nutrition patterns and habits. Therefore, Dietary interventions may be recommended as therapy for skin conditions.  Studies show that high glycaemic load diets and dairy consumption play a role in the development of acne.  Both high glycaemic load diets and dairy products are linked to raised serum insulin levels and free insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), contributing to the pathogenesis of skin conditions.  But why does dairy specifically cause skin problems?  Milk contains bioactive hormones and molecules such as androgen, oestrogen, progesterone and IGF-1 which when over-consumed can result in the over-production of sebum, an oily substance that helps protect the skin. Too much of this beneficial compound being produced can result in oily skin and trapped glands, eventually leading to acne.  A case-control study was conducted on 70 women with acne and 70 women without acne aged 18-30 years. Diagnosis and severity of acne was evaluated by a dermatologist. The study concluded that those who consumed more dairy were more prone to acne. This type of study has been replicated many times around the world on many populations, removing genetics from the equation.  In conclusion, Carbohydrates with a high glycemic index, and dairy products are significantly associated with the development of acne. NAKED FRIES TO ALL DRESSED! 🇨🇦 - Happy Friday! 💛 Do you like your fries plain or saucy? 🧐 In Canada, we like to dress it up with gravy, cheese and other topping of choice! I am lactose intolerant so I chose to make my poutine/all dressed fries cheese less this time. I’ve also made it calorie friendly by substituting some ingredients. 😁 If you like this recipe, I have more of these in my cook book which will be released in a couple of weeks! (Link in bio) 🙆🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️ - INGREDIENTS - Fries: - 🥔1-2 medium potatoes, cut into thin strips 🥔1 tbsp olive oil/pam spray olive oil 🥔1 tbsp salt & black pepper - - Gravy (vegan friendly) 🌱2 tbsp Earth Balance vegan butter- 🌱2 tbsp whole wheat flour - 🌱2 tbsp minced garlic 🌱1 cup vegetable broth 🌱2 tbsp yellow mustard 🌱2 tbsp soy sauce 🌱cheese (optional) - INSTRUCTIONS - Fries: - 🔸Pre-heat oven to 425 F 🔸In a large bowl, pam spray or drizzle the olive oil over your fries. - 🔸Bake for about 30-45 minutes (I like mine super crispy) 🔸Once finished, put them in a large bowl and sprinkle salt and pepper on it and toss together. - 🔸Pre heat pan medium to high heat, throw in and cook your diced turkey bacon pieces. - 🔸Once browned, set aside. - - Gravy: - 🔹In a pre-heated hot pot, add in the vegan butter, and when it melts, add in the flour. 🔹Whisk together until all the clumps are gone 🔹Add in the vegetable broth, mustard, garlic, soy sauce and whisk again! 🔹Let the gravy thicken for a few minutes. - On top of your cooked fries, pour the gravy, then bacon then garnish with some herbs. 🤤🤤🤤Making the gravy was pretty tricky but once I got the ratio, it worked!💕 Hope you guys enjoy as much as I did. 😍
Still haven’t washed my hair since I got it cut but hey OH WELLL🤷🏼‍♀️ one thing I HAVE done is start using my Dexcom though and it’s the best ever. I now remember why I used it like 7 years ago. Baked Potstickers🥟🥟🥟 As voted by you guys here is the recipe! I was hesitant to post because the picture quality isn’t the best but I promise the flavor is sure there!!🥕🌱 Ingredients:  1 cup shredded chicken 1/2 cup shredded carrots 2 tsp ginger 2 (8 ounce) cans water chestnuts  2 tbsp soy sauce 2 egg whites lightly beaten 1/2 cup mayo/ Greek yogurt 2 garlic cloves 48 square wonton wrappers  Preheat oven to 425F. Chop water chestnuts into small pieces. Combine chicken, carrots, ginger, water chestnuts, soy sauce, egg whites, mayo, and garlic into a bowl. Mix well.  Place wonton wrappers on baking sheet and put about 1 tbsp of the mixture onto each wonton wrapper. Brush edges of wonton wrapper with water and shape and seal the wontons. Repeat this until all wontons are complete. Lightly spray the tops of wontons with olive oil and bake for 14 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with a side of rice or quinoa and mandarin orange slices! 😋
