Let’s talk Meal prep! When you have a chronic condition it can be difficult to get quality nutrition because when you’re feeling like an undead zombie the last thing you want to do at the end of the day is cook! But it’s essential to eat healthy because when your body is healing (and it’s always healing) it takes more nutrients than the average jo. I have a bunch of projects I’m working on gradually while completing my university studies, but one thing I am in the process of making is simplified nutrient-rich meal prep plans, for people who get their energy in bursts like I do. Could also apply to busy parents, shift workers etc. There’s always ways to find time to nourish your body. Easy nutrient rich meals that can be made in bulk, so if you only have one day a week where you feel up to cooking, or you have a carer to help you out, it’s easy to follow and reach for a prepped meal instead of maccas when you’re feeling crappy💕 Yummy food on an anti-inflammatory diet. . Follow along if you’re keen for when these projects are released @bishopsbotanicals 🤗 . . . . #thrivewithchronicillness#mealprep#tiredgirlsociety#chronicfatiguesyndrome#rehab#nutrition#pumpkin#eatwell#nourishnotpunish#foodasmedicine#nourishment#chronicillness#chronicpain#chronicpainwarrior#healthhacks#jointhealth#antiinflammatorydiet#loveyourbody#veggies
This resonates with me so HARD! 😆 ...To ponder that our beliefs define our world, as our truth, our reality. Oh perceptions! Illusions? • What do you believe? Where do your beliefs come from? Why do you believe what you believe? Do you have evidence to support them? Are beliefs born out of your own experiences? From hypnotic social conditioning? Do you accept the opinions of others as your own? Do you see a shift in your beliefs now than when you were 15? • Pic inspiration @healingenergytools 🙌🏻✨📿

It’s so so easy to ignore our body’s whispers...we put it off because “it will go away” or “it’s probably nothing” or “I’m too busy to deal with this”... ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ So many times we get alarms of our bodies in need of care or attention and we just keep going. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ We take our selves for granted. We take our health for granted. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ And that has to stop. For myself at least. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Too much have I had to hear my body scream. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ This year, was almost too late for me. I ran myself to the ground. That is why I’m here now. Why I’m I’m studying Naturopathic Nutrition and to become a Holistic Health Practitioner and to learn more about energy healing. It took 6 rounds of antibiotics and a HUGE awakening and prayers to be alive and doing well right now. I’m suffering from the antibiotics but I’m healing. I had to stop putting everyone in my family’s health issues first and needed to focus on my health and healing - and the last 2 months I’ve done pretty well. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ If I’m being honest though- I have some loud ass whispers that need to be dealt with and I will be contacting my doctor this week. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Take care of yourself because without you, you’re no one. Mind and body- nourish and heal. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Xo ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ #loveyourself#healyourgut#aip#paleo#autoimmune#lupus#spoonie#wellness#nutrition#nourishment#ms#wahlsprotocol#hashimotos#allergyfree#glutenfree#eatclean#realfood#nutrientdense#autoimmuneprotocol#juvenilearthritis#guthealth#eatingwell#jia#healthyfats#fba#mindset#pdev #bacon#selfcare#healing ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀

Took baby girl to the end of year softball pool party. They of course had pizza for the party goers. I had to opt out because I have my own personal goals. It's amazing the amount of thinkless eating I used to do. If you have goals YOU are the only one responsible for the actions you take to get there. Stay focused and you can do anything you put your mind to. #goals#focus#determination#nourishment#higherfrequency
This has been my reality as of late. Tea instead of coffee. And to be honest, I thought I would be a lot more bummed out about it than I am. . . Just over a week ago, I swapped my morning coffee for tea. I'm doing this because I got some blood work back that points to some pretty exhausted adrenals, high inflammation in my body and I've overall just been feeling awful. . . My initial reaction was "RESTRICT! I've got to do another Whole30!". Because in the past that was my only tool to make me feel better. I felt in control because I was controlling my food from such an intricate level. But my approach now has been oh, so different. I didn't approach my healing with food as the initial step. Instead, I continued to tune into my intuition and ask it what my body needed. I also turned to the wonderful @ashleysauvehealth who put me on a stellar supplement protocol and reminded me of a very simple fact: . . "Thirsty people need to drink water. Hungry people need to eat food. Tired people need to rest." . . Right! How could I not have seen this? . . 🌙The early bedtimes were my body asking for rest. . . 🏋️The AM sleep-ins instead of working out was my body telling me something was off. . . 😴 The mid-day naps was my body telling me it needed a break. These weren't me being lazy but rather my body signaling it needed support. Wow, that was a story I was telling myself. Rest = lazy. Not true at all. I tell you this story to share. If you're in a season of your life right now that doesn't feel manageable and you're feeling forever exhausted, it's ok to go get things checked out. It's ok to listen to your body. It's ok to choose tea over coffee. Your body knows best. It's talking to you. Will you trust it?
Walking,I get exercise, fresh air, and get nourishment from sunshine, blues skies, bird songs, and the beauty of trees, plants, flowers and living green. I walk to get groceries 3x week. A short 8 minute walk through a little nature trail to get to the boulevard and 5 minutes to the shopping center. Grateful for that little patch of beauty that I am in love with. It's like a little transition fairy portal. But even along the sidewalk I greet the sweet trees, the plants and weeds. Our eyes like looking at living green better than the computer screen. #trees#plants#freshair#sunshine#bluesky#flowers#birdsong#trail#hike#walk#beauty#nourishment#nature
Last night we sat in ceremony to welcome summer solstice. And although we were late in gathering, it wasn’t any less magical. . Here’s what I know to be true: Circling, sitting in ceremony and cultivating rituals is essential in all the inner work I’m doing. Having a space amongst other truth seekers to speak my truth, gives S P A C E for my truth. . . My life is busy, chaotic and full. In ceremony I sit in the moment, in aw of every beautiful woman there as we all own our stories and journeys. In these circles, I relish in the beauty of myself and every woman beside me. . My vision of health has changed so much since I started this account a few years ago. My truth: scared community is essential to living a full and abundant life. This community of transparency and radical vulnerability has changed me.
Self Nourishment 💕💕🙌 It is SUPER important to plan time for things that you actually enjoy, that make you smile, that get you up in the morning and feed your soul!! Allowing yourself time to replenish provides you the engery to keep giving and doing, so try not to forget about YOU!! This morning I spent an hour and a half taking in the fresh air (in the freezing cold actually), watching the sun rise, over my parents farm with my mum on our horses and it was AMAZING 👌💟 thankyou @lalshavenwarmbloods #enhancedhealthbytiffany#happy#healthy#wellness#wellbeing#gratitude#women#nourishment
One of my favorite weeknight dinners? Macro bowls — especially when there’s an almond butter + ginger marinade involved. This marinade // sauce is delicious coated on protein, veg, or used as a dip for spring rolls. I’m obsessed. It’s creamy, sweet, tangy, and super versatile. Enjoy! INGREDIENTS: 2T drippy almond butter + 2T rice wine vinegar + 2T coconut aminos + 1T toasted sesame seed oil + 1T dijon mustard + 1/2T honey + 1T minced ginger (I love @the_ginger_people) + dash of ginger juice (from said minced ginger jar) + juice of 1/2 lime + pinch of sea salt. RECIPE: Whisk all ingredients together, then evenly coat your tempeh, tofu, chicken, fish, etc. Marinate your protein in the fridge for at least one hour (or up to a full day!). Sauté on the stove or bake in the oven. Super easy and flavorful. #wellnesswithedie#weeknightdinner#easyrecipes#eattherainbow#buddhabowl#macrobowl#eeeeeats
Dandelion Greens, Dill in a Detox salad oh my! I love a good salad, and this bowl of goodness is nourishing, filling and good for the liver, heart, lungs and large intestine. A light dressing of olive oil and lemon makes it perfect, light and cleansing. Dandelion greens are a dark leafy greens and good for the liver. They have a bitter flavor, which in Chinese Medicine is associated with the heart. And the heart is associated with the summer, which if you are in the Northern Hemisphere, the calendar claims it's summer, though in LA we’re slogging through Juneuary. Dandelion greens are super nutrient dense, and in raw form are high in vitamins A, C and K as well as some B vitamins. Their nutritional composition changes slightly when cooked. Dill is used as a digestive aid, it helps out the intestines and said to help with spleen and kidney. Dill is also said to aid in the prevention of bone loss and is an antibacterial spice. The white beans are said to benefit the skin, lung and large intestine. They are full of protein and fiber to help things move right along. Carrots and Cranberries add more fiber, more nutrients and a bit of sweetness as a foil the bitter of the dandelion and the almonds provide a bit of calcium and good fat. A word of note about detox, diet and raw foods. Many people associate salad with diet and detox. And while they are good for you and serve a purpose, they can be hard on your spleen, so my guidance would be to consider eating only one raw meal a day and nourishing your spleen with some cooked/warming foods. . . . . #vegansalad#vegansalads#detoxfoods#plantbasedlife#plantbasedchef#tcm#traditionalchinesemedicine#nourishyourself#nourishyourbody#foodismedicineformybody#eattherainbow🌈 #wellnessatoz#wellnesscoach#nutritional#nourishment#nutrientdense#nutrientdensity#nourishyourmind#dandeliongreens#eatyourgreens🌱 #healthymindset#cleaneatingdiet#eatcleanfood#cleansingfoods
