As a lover of words let me tell you, I absolutely hate the word "interesting" and it seems to be following me around. It is so meaningless and empty, I call it a non-word. I'm working on banning it from my vocabulary completely. "Interesting" attributes no meaning, no intention. Oh yeah, great, it sparked your interest... In what way? A good way, a bad way? How and why? "Interesting" is a great word for when you can't be bothered to say anything else or be more specific. It just leaves a trail of questions. . "Your book is so interesting." -- Really? You're going to have to be more specific here. What was interesting about it? The language? The story? The main character? Why? . "I think you're very interesting." 🙄 Is it because I'm weird? Is it because I'm slightly unconventional? What is it that is holding your attention? From where I'm standing it sounds like a lazy adjective to describe all that I am. . So many better words to use. Next time you fall into the trap of using the word "interesting", make an effort to be specific. There's a wealth of adjectives waiting to be used effectively. . . #interesting#nonword#meaningless#writers#writing#writer#writerslife#word#words#meaning
Wow!!!! 🔥☀️ Hi, hello, Hi-LO my Loves!! 🔥☀️Sorry for not posting more frequently!! I took a trip to Italy so people would think I'm cultured and adventurous. It is not easy paying money to get in and out of an airplane!!! You never realize how brave you are until you spend eleven million dollars to go somewhere. 😂 #wanderlust#nonword#courage#wow#travel#italy#sardinia#rome#satire#millennial#comedian#woke#inspiring 😂 #joke#selfie#girl#nyc#writer#life#summer#bikini#swimsuit#funny Sidenote 1 - @smartandsexysocial makes the best intimate apparel and swimsuits on the market. My boobs wanna thank you. Actually they writing a love letter RN. Sidenote 2 - Italy was amazing. I am probably banned from ever returning to Sardinia bc of this post -- but that's okay because Sardinia should really be a once-in-a-lifetime destination. No one should ever see that much beauty more than once. Imma have to go search through urban dictionary or something to remind myself of all the horrible things on earth 😂😂. Wish me luck.
“ I believe that words are things. And I live in them. I look at the word, the “n” word of which I and many are obliged to call it that because it was created to divest people of their humanity. Now when I see a bottle that comes from a pharmacy that says “ P-O-I-S-O-N” with a skull and bones, then I know that the content of that thing; the bottle is nothing but the content is poison. If I pour that content into Bavarian crystal, it is still poison. “- Maya Angelou 😔 How many times have you seen pictures and Memes and videos of black people, our people, who use the N-word? Have we not learned anything? Or have we forgotten where the word originated? And now a days people use it in music, on TV and in video, in movies, and sadly in every day life. And it’s not white people or people from other races. We have taken to call ourselves and each other The N-word. Truthfully, this is just one of the things that I hate most about social media. “We are taking the power back”. Yes, the word has power. And that is a negative power that we use against ourselves, our brothers, our sisters, our fathers, our mothers. We don’t see each other as human anymore. No wonder why we are killing each other in the streets for even the slightest offense. My gut reaction is to delete not only the white people that use it but especially black people that use the N-word in their speech and on social media and in Memes and videos. But if I do that then I can’t share my feelings with the ones that I take great umbrage for using it. Have we learned nothing? 😢 #nonword#wecanbetetter#mayaangelou
It's another sunset, another gadarene exodus of trite bodies, and another COB. For some, it's just another semicolon; another chasing. Then I paused amidst the fast-paced worn out scenery. I thought about you. I don't know "you." All I know is we're under the same sky, seeing the same setting sun. It's ridiculous, indeed. How could I miss someone I never knew? How could I miss a stranger? Or are you not? I miss the idea of you, I miss a "nonhuman" human, just as "irregardless" is a nonword but is still a word. Whoever and wherever you are, someone from a crazy parallel universe within this earth misses you. I am another "nonhuman" human to you-- An irregardless, A stranger, Or maybe not. I'm praying for you. Keep safe. Eat well. Workout if you have time. Sleep well. We'll see another daylight tomorrow. We'll chase deadlines and dreams. Hopefully, someday we'll catch another daylight together. But for now, we are both nonhumans, just wandering strangers under the same sky. #samesky#dayendmonologues#freeform#poetry#poems#norules#random#fugitivereveries#nonhuman#nonword#nonstandard#missingthemissing#baffled#sunset#tritesoul#chasingdaylight#wandering#words

Don’t forget Martin Luther King. A former pastor. A college student at the age of 15. An advocate of nonviolence and peaceful noncooperation of evil. He was called a “n*g*e*” by white people. He was told he would be shot and killed if he did not stop spreading the word of nonviolence towards the black community. This is why I think NOBODY should be using this word 2018. Black people have the right to do so, but the word itself comes from such a dark and hateful place. I’d rather you use words that embody love and positivity that reminds everyone that we are all loved. I leave you with this today. Thank you MLK. Happy Earth Day. Let’s make America, AND the world, beautiful and peaceful again, like God intended for it to be.
It always saddens me when strong black people use the n word. When people do it has to be something that I will judge future friendships on. ☹️ I chose not to use it. Back in my day if anyone of any race called you that then they would have a fight on their hands. Nowadays it is used as a term of endearment. 😡 Well, I’m not having it! The word has power. And that power is a curse! It is not a blessing. Once we stood together as brothers and sisters. When we started calling each other “n” word, bitches and hoes, we lost respect for each other. We started leaving our children alone. We started disrespecting women. We disrespect each other and took on a total disregard for life. You can see why it is so easy for a black man to kill another black man because we do not value life. 😡 😡 Yet some of us have the nerve to get mad if someone from another race calls is that. Rightfully so. But I am more angry and mad at black people who use it! 😡We know better. 😡We know better. 😡WE KNOW BETTER!!! ☹️ And I know that people will say that I should go back to the 60’s. Well, back then they fought for equal rights, they respected women and each other, and they respected life. I would GLADLY go back to the 60’s. I was born in the 60’s but if I was a little older I would have been right there with the marches against a common enemy instead of being an enemy to our culture, our history, and our brotherhood. 😡 😡I know that this rant is not my what I usually post. I save these feelings for Facebook. It just pisses me off when smart, talented people use it. I chose to unfriend, unfollow, and block repeat offenders. Why? There is no way to change a person’s mind on this. It’s in our culture, movies, music, tv, radio, magazines.... it’s everywhere. Another reason is that someone may slip up and call me that. I’m 53, I think I may have one more ass whopping in me. Don’t come for it. 😡 #chef#cheflife#pissed#nword#nonword
Maybe because I grew up when anyone who called you that regardless of race was in for a fight. I'm 51. When I see or hear black people use it I am more offended because we know better. Or at least we should know better. And yes. I have deleted and blocked more black people than any other race for using it. Because to me it is STILL one of the most offensive things you can call someone. In fact the last time someone called me that someone had to pull me off of him and yes he was black and he did not call me that as a term of endearment.
I spoke on it once and I'll speak on it again: I don't use the n word (never will), I hate the n word, and many of us see it the same as &/or get it confused with the words "Negus", "Naga" and "Neter" and that's just plain sad. It's ridiculous that US (Blacks) as a People use it on each other, that's just another form of slavery right there. In the words of #davidbanner... "We call ourselves n****s, the White man’s word. We can call ourselves anything as the descendants of Africans of Kings and Queens and Gods. We can call ourselves Gods, but we call ourselves n****s." When I speak on this kind of thing, (Black) people speak on a certain thing and (still) use that word and have in parenthesis "all races"..only reason you put that there is to hide or ignorance and stupidity. Brother/Sister, you're not fooling nobody! Stop saying it!!! #antinword#blackpower#blackkingsandqueens#knowthyself#rbg#nonword Oh, and to all of you #moors and #hebrews or whatever y'all call yourselves, feel free to change the #truth into a lie, I already know what you will say. #carryon
