Gameday! By far the biggest match of the year... Today sees our last home match of the season against Matty Holmes’ Wimborne. With a couple wins in a row, Wimborne look all but safe with one point today securing their place in the 7th tier for next year. Whereas for Boro we sit just 1 point and 1 place above the relegation zone, after a crucial win against Staines on Saturday. Anything but 3 points today is just not good enough. Make sure get on down to Privett to support the boys in the last home game of the season! #uptheboro💛💙 #jointheborojourney#nonleaguefootball

Our First Division is clearly the most exciting Step 6 League in the Country with no Relegation or Promotion place yet decided despite the being just 5 days of the season remaining. At the top end Welling Town have recently returned to the position that they have occupied for most of the campaign and now have it in their own hands to stay there and claim this much-wanted First Division title, which would be a terrific achievement for a side in their first year at this level. Today they face a team that need the points just as much as them though as bottom-placed Meridian VP are on their way to Bayliss Avenue. Only a win will do for the relegation-threatened visitors so we should be set for a cracker in Thamesmead with both sides going all-out for the points. A rare defeat for Bridon Ropes on Friday has now put them as third favourites to finish in the top spot but a win against Holmesdale will keep them in the fight still and put the pressure on the two sides above. Erith & Belvedere are the other of those teams and they have the trickiest looking match-up of the day among the contenders. Sutton Athletic are the visitors to Park View Road and despite back-to-back defeats they can beat anyone on their day so the Deres will need to be at their best to take their title challenge to the final match. At the other end of the table Rochester United will be hoping to improve their relegation worries by earning maximum points at FC Elmstead and while Phoenix Sports Reserves are not concerned by relegation, they don't want to finish bottom so will be looking for at least a point from their final home game when Kent Football United make the short trip to the Mayplace. The Ladywell Arena hosts an interesting game with the two tenants facing off in what is the last home game for the current Lewisham Borough Committee. It is also the last game for the Forest Hill Park Management team who have done an incredible job to lead the side to a top 6
Brightlingsea Regent 1-0 Leatherhead FC (Condon 89') - Robben-esque goal (you know the one) from Condon wins it for Brightlingsea to put a major dent in Leatherhead's promotion hopes. Decent game, even better weather. Hottest day of the year. Attendance 233 - 21.4.2019 ☀️🔥
