We can decide how we are going to handle FEAR when it presents itself. Whether it is stepping out of your comfort zone, or actively engaging in something that truly scares you, you CAN overcome it! There are levels of stress our bodies go through when certain situations present themselves. With the proper mindset, training, and practice, practice, practice, you can regulate how you navigate through any given situation while controlling your level of stress!👊 This way of thinking applies to many different things, from hand to hand combat, to a business meeting with a skeptical high value prospect. What were you known for as a kid? Well, I was known for being a know-it-all. People called me Holly Knoll-it-all which I must say, didn’t always feel the greatest. 😜 I may have outgrown the nickname, but it’s actually become an important part of how I function in my business. My clients now hire me for my knowledge and expertise. I help them be successful in starting and running successful consulting businesses. Being an adult smarty pants is what's pushed me into my pursuit of coaching, bringing me to where I am today. So sometimes what’s intended to be hurtful, can become the key to our help. When I first heard about this program…I thought there was NO WAY I could get results in just 20 minutes a day. Even as a coach who supports and uses these programs, I was skeptical. But I committed anyway because my mindset was at the lowest point and if I didn’t keep going, I knew I’d give up on myself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I worked through physical pain, adjusting to new medications, and I freaking showed up for myself every single day no matter what. This shorts that I’m wearing? I haven’t been able to wear them in almost two years because they were so tight and gave me that unsightly front wedgie😂 And NOW they are SO close to fitting comfortably👏🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Proud is an understatement and I am also SO proud of my friends who have conquered so much these past 5.5 weeks and have seen AMAZING results too! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Every day I pressed play for 20 minutes. I followed a simple nutrition plan that allowed me to continue being a “lazy meal prepper” I drank my superfoods daily to make sure my body got all of the vitamins and probiotics it needs to work properly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m starting a new round on Monday, you in? Started the New Year off with a looooong IG break but here I am again! Enjoyed a windy but pretty coastal hike in Half Moon Bay over the weekend. One reason for my social media absence was I decided to try the keto diet to see if it will decrease my migraines! It was a rough couple weeks adjusting to the diet but I am starting to feel “normal” again. Anyone else start off the New Year with some health related resolutions??? . . In other news, I just ordered a light kit to take product photos at home. That means I should have my San Jose prints online next week (in theory.) Clearly, I'm smack dab in my Comfort Zone. I'm realizing that I can want this to be the year of Discomfort but it's not going to happen unless I plan for it and push myself out of that comfort zone constantly. ⠀ ⠀ I haven't fully thought this through but I'm all about action (look at me growing as an individual!). So I want to do a series of challenges- 30-day challenges, 1-week sprints, etc - that push me out of the dreaded comfort zone. ⠀ ⠀ I'm going to start with the Rejection Therapy/Embarrassment Inoculation I mentioned last week. I'm not sure what it will look like but I'll keep you posted. ⠀ ⠀ But I need your help to come up with other challenges. I'm thinking maybe one where I wake up every day at 5:30, 30-days of risk-taking, 30-days of saying Yes (or No), Maybe even a 30-day diet challenge to help me gain more energy (I have extremely low levels of energy but I hate dieting more than anything).⠀ ⠀ So what challenge ideas do you have for me? Two of my favorite things👶🏽 my baby ❤️ and flowers🌼 . . Trying hard this week to get a bit more organized in my day so I can not only get my daily tasks done, but so I can also fit in my goals💯 . I find setting annual/monthly/weekly/daily goals along with an action plan helps me to form the habits I need to make it happen. Breaking them down like this helps me feel less overwhelmed too. I’m also obsessed with to-do lists...the more visuals the better! 🙌🏼 . Living a balanced life is hard! I could use some more tips so how do you hold yourself accountable to achieving your goals? 💫💫Workout Wednesday💫💫 💥💥Today marks day 38 of this amazing workout program I have been committed to doing. The program challenges you to transform your life in ways you never believed possible. ⭐️⭐️My favorite trainer, Shaun T, has been pushing us throughout this journey and today challenged us to workout in silence...no music, no talking, no words of encouragement from Shaun, just you and your thoughts! It was kind of weird and kind of tough, but wow, was it powerful!! 🤔The toughest part for me was that I accidentally had done last week’s workout, decided to add a little bonus workout because I was feeling so good, then realized I did the wrong workout for today! (I’m blaming mom brain for that one!!) 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ 🤪🤪During that silent workout I had a million excuses why I should turn it off...but I didn’t, I pushed through to the end because I knew that if I stopped, I would be letting myself down. 🧠🧠🧠 I am telling you this because it is all a state of mind! 😬I’m not sure how to say this, so I’m just going to get right to the point. Quit being so gullible! You’re body doesn’t need a detox, reset, or cleanse. J-Lo’s 10 Day No Carb, No Sugar Challenge will accomplish absolutely ZERO for you. You don’t need to go on a two week liquid diet. There is no bio hack. There isn’t a legitimate list of five foods that causes belly fat to hang around. These things are created to market to desperate and impatient people. What you do need can’t be packaged and marketed in a quick, punchy, attention grabbing line. If your goal is simply weight loss, there’s only one thing you need: a calorie deficit. You can lose weight only eating Krispy Kreme if you keep your calories in check. But for health and, more than likely, the body recomposition you want, what you need is: a long term, consistent balanced diet that has a variety of mainly whole, nutrient dense foods combined with some form of resistance training and cardio that matches your goals. Now, for the weight loss part, what I said above still holds true: you need to do this in a calorie deficit to lose weight. Had to patch up the beside the mirror mess but feeling good about my winter progress. Third consecutive day of running is always hard for me because of muscle fatigue and strength training. Three days on - one day off is my ideal workout schedule depending on, well you know, life stuff.
When your Sunday funday is full of success!!! You must take a selfie with sunglasses after leaving God’s sanctuary! No better feeling than knowing God has great plans no matter the path!!!
