My explore page is currently filled with food...mostly ice cream and cereal 😭😭 but that’s okay, I get a refeed today, so I’m super happy with that. Supinate grip back row for 18 reps. Keep your back straight and squeeze at the end of the movement. I’m starting to have low energy workouts, but this is to be expected when you are at this low of a body fat percentage. My goal for my next show is to beat my last package, and it’s safe to say I’m getting there...slowly but surely ☺️ what’s your favorite dessert? Last week I went to the gym 7 days in a row!! I’ve only been working out going on 4 weeks now. This was a huge accomplishment for me! This week I can’t say I’ve done so well. In fact, I’ve gained a few pounds. 😞  But I’m determined not to let that discourage me! I just figured out a way to get there today and pushed myself. I feel so great after working out! It’s been a struggle not to let the scale determine how I feel. I can feel my jeans getting looser and I just feel better in general! That’s a victory! Reflection: Pretty stoked about how my opening numbers were once my 1 rep max #newbiegains? I'll take whatever I can get! Since i will not have access to a barbell on comp day, I've discarded the Pendley Rows and OHP (Overhead press) from my warm up routine and switched to bands to replicate these exercises. Thanks for the advice @irfanftw .
Okay!! So this is me at about 3.5 months into bodybuilding ever! I havent lifted in 4 years before that. I only was powerlifting for 3 months prior. That is all of the lifting I've ever done. But this is a before and after. Left being bedore and right is now. I'm at about 164.4 pounds now. Previously I weighed about 155. I guess I just wanted to share because I honestly feel like I am doing great for only 3.5 months of lifting. Glute machine - this is by far my weakest lift 😂😭 I’m pushing 8 lbs on this machine. My quads tend to takeover when I go too heavy, so lighter weights will have to do for now.
You wake up every morning, you force yourself out of bed after snoozing 2-3+ alarms. You spend hours throughout the day scrolling through social media and flicking through magazines. Staring at beauty bloggers, fitness models and youtubers/influencers 'who have the life'. You tell yourself it's not reality. But, why? I'll tell you why. It's like when you were at school. The bullies picked on those they were jealous of because they were self-conscious in their own skin, they weren't happy with their lives so they chose to talk down on and walk all over others. They bullied people that were better/smarter/in a better position than them, to boost themselves up. They were the ones with the problem. And now, years later. You haven't noticed it yet. But your life has paralleled to theirs. Instead of taking action. You complain about others successes. Instead of taking action. You continue to bore yourself by following their activities. Instead of taking action. You bury yourself into a hole and pretend it's not real. Instead of taking action. You say 'tomorrow', 'next week' or 'soon'. Why not today? Imagine a life where; You wake up in the morning, excited to get out of bed. You sing and dance your way into the shower. You get excited to fuel your body with wholesome and nutritious foods; it's no longer a chore. You enjoy your day at work. Connecting with others, brewing lifelong relationships and sprinkling positivity to those around you. You spend all day looking forward to getting your body moving. You WANT to keep you body active. Watch me struggle through glute day bcos I’ve been naughty and left all my work this weekend till the last minute. I spent yesterday revising for my written exam next week. Went out for a bit last night, and then cleared the old flat and made sure everything was dandy there this afternoon. Currently heading home and I have a huuuuge list of stuffs to get done for tomorrow in prep for this week. . Hey hey hey, Let’s get flexy😍 . I just posted my mid week 5 cut update to my story and damn, go check it. This is the ‭first‬ time I’ve ever documented any kind of progress in such close detail and it makes me so excited to analyse the different stages. Obviously last week I was ill, so I upped my cals and adjusted my macros to maintenance and allowed my body to recover optimally with as much rest as it needed. Dodgy lighting, dodgy outfit choice ft, dodgy workout🤦🏻‍♀️ . This caption has absolutely no relevance to this post, however has absolutely all the relevance to my mid-October Monday feels🙌🏼 . Does anybody else notice how increasingly common it is becoming for people to walk in and out of your life? How increasingly replaceable we’re all becoming? How easy it is to feel unimportant, not needed and undervalued in the world? How easy it is for someone to be you friend for ‘convenience’? How easy it is for someone to not keep in contact when you’re not forced to see one another every day? How easy it is for your circle to change? . Notice just answering all of the above, how important it is to love yourself before anybody and else? . Now, I recognise that this is probably more relevant in my life due to the nature of my job, my age and the location of my residency. But does that make it ok? . I’m also not saying I’m not guilty of all of the above. As time has passed I’ve noticed how I’d much rather spend time alone, I’d much rather not spend my evenings/weekends catching up with friends via text message and social media. I’d much rather make the time to meet a friend for a coffee and a catch-up than send a half-assed text every now and then. I wondered why in this day, where we can so damn easily keep in contact with one another, why in the world this was! It wasn’t until recently that I realised how replaceable we all are. . I spent my entire childhood trying to please everyone. I wanted to be friends with everyone. I thought having lots of friends would make me happier, but in reality, it made me replaceable. If someone doesn’t value you enough to block a few hours every other week or so, to really check how you’re doing, are they really worth your time and emotion? . Love yourself💛 Take time for yourself & cherish the minority who make time for you✨🧡 .
