Getting my draft back is both exciting and daunting. Daunting because, well just look at it! Very chunk, lots of words and I’m sure a complete mess. Which means I’m going to have so much fun reading through it 😅 *cheering* But on the other side, after not having it sitting on my shelf for the last few weeks boy am I glad to have it back! This is the first time I’ve taken it out of its little protective covers and seen the final size of it 😭 (again so daunting to read through it) It’s crazy to think, this time last year the story idea popped into my head. Continuously growing and blossoming into what’s before me now. I think for anyone who is doubting themselves, their ability it’s so important to keep going and once your finished look back and see how far you’ve come. The Question is: where to now? I have managed to convert the document into an iBook (kinda format) so I can read through it on my iPad. Which I think it will help me get through it because it doesn’t seem so big on there 🤦🏼♀️ I have already gone ahead and done some pre-editing. Where I have written down scenes I already know need changed, details that need added and things that can be taken away -so I can cut that word count right down! I will also be working on my series bible as I go. Adding in things that need to be kept track of. Appearance, city names etc etc. With a full month ahead I am excited to tackle it head on! Book 2 will also be there in the background as I chug away at it! Fingers crossed my July goals will be achieved! QOTD: How did you tackle editing your first draft? Any advice would be appreciated! Happy writing everyone!! I hope this month went well for you and that next month will be even better!! ✨✨
Over the course of the summer, there has been a lot of ups and downs and huge plan changes but I am happy to say the ball is finally rolling on this project. This work in progress, AKA The Cameron Drake Case Files, is going to be a podcast put in the old radio drama style. Episodes will run anywhere between 8 minutes to 15 minutes and will be released once a week once finished. Currently working on the second round of edits for the script, and just started to pull sound effects. The moment we have all that done we will be bring in our voice actors to come in and start recording lines. Which if it all goes according to plan will happen in July! And then we will be posting on sites like Podbean, Spotify and Youtube! We will be uploading and working under the name New Knight Productions which will be the brother company to Black Bishop Manuscripts and will focus on more auditory and visual mediums. Thank you all so much for the support you have given so far and the support you will hopefully give in the future! And a special shout out to Bethany Elliott, @bethanyjoypaints, for this amazing logo!
*•.¸(`*•.¸(`*•.¸★¸.•*´)¸.•*´)¸.•* ★★THE UNHONEYMOONERS REVIEW★★ .•*´(¸.•*´(¸.•*´★`*•.¸)`*•.¸)`*•. I’ve heard of this author duo @christinalauren , but this is my intro into their arsenal. Let’s dive into this adorable story. Olive’s twin sister insists that her new husband’s brother,Ethan(Olive’s nemesis), and Olive take the honeymoon that food poisoning has prevented the newlyweds from being able to attend. The strict sweepstakes rules, ex-girlfriend appearance and romantic scenery have these two going from enemies to lovers. Unfortunately, upon return to the real world, things don’t go as easy as they hoped. Why? You have to read it to find out. I enjoyed this story. The writing style flows well and all the i’s are dotted and t’s crossed by the end. There is even an epilogue for people who want more after ‘the end’. The dialogue was witty, fun and flirty. I liked the characters, but... I would have enjoyed more character depth. I felt like our insight was kept more on the surface, but it didn’t pull me out of the story. Immaturity and sarcasm was a part of their charm and why they click. They both grow as humans and the angst was👌🏼. “Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!”—Me Anyone that has a large extended family will relate to Olive’s pain. Her family is all up in her junk, but with that comes good and bad which is revealed throughout the story. I love a juicy travel story and all of the ocean talk and vacation activities make me want to move Maui to the top of my MUST GO list. Not to the very top. That’s still New Zealand. I also wouldn’t have minded more about where they were vacationing, but that probably has something to do with it being over 100 degrees in Phoenix. My skin is drier than Tom Hank’s lips in Castaway. I’m jonesing to get out of this eternal oven🥵 and this story helped take me away, even if only for a day. If you want a fun and light read, I recommend. I rate
We got kittens last week. This is the first time I’ve had a pet that I didn’t catch myself. We never had dogs or cats when I was a kid. So, naturally I called dibs on naming them. Ash and Kyo. Any ideas who they’re named after? . . . . #catsofinstagram#newkittens#geekycatnames#newauthor
