Way up Wednesday👊🏽 Help people anyway that you can. There are so many different ways to help someone . Being a cop I have the opportunity to help people every single day, but I knew I could do more so I signed up with Big Brothers Big Sisters and it’s been a life changer for me . It’s such an incredible feeling knowing that these kids count on you and are inspired by you . You get the chance to help encourage our youth and have a direct impact on our future! It’s an honor to be a part of something so impactful . One day I’m going to be throwing the lobs to Don😂 #1stphorm#legionofboom#iam1stphorm#1stphormathletesearch#bethe1#strivefortheimpossible#neversettle#wedothework#duespaid#hipresurfacing
"Half way done" A simple phrase that has gotten me through so much. Everytime I hit that midway point in deployment, in any school, or even a hard day , I say this to myself and it drives me to continue. So no matter how hard your week is so far, remember, its halfway done! #motivated#humpday#legionofboom
Although I am tired! . Although I don’t have anymore energy! . Although I know that the next day I’ll be sore! . I still put a smile on my face after every workout. . You know why? . Because I bust my ass every time I enter the gym. . And I know that this☝... . Will fucking pay off at some point! . So tell me now! . What are you waiting for? . . . . . #duespaid#wedothework#legionofboom#iam1stphorm#1stphorm#fitlife#fitnessinspiration#fitnessmotivation#neversettle#fitspo#dedication#keeppushing#goals#fitnesslifestyle#bethe1#fitness
It’s okay not to be okay sometimes. . The worst thing you can do during a trial is fool yourself into thinking everything is alright, when it’s clearly not. . It’s one thing to put on a brave face when needed, but don’t hesitate to express your true emotions and face the struggles head on. . Talk to a trusted friend or loved one. . Shed the tears, FEEL what needs to be felt, and say out loud what is weighing you down. . We aren’t meant to carry our burdens alone, even if we feel obligated to in order to “spare” the ones we love. . More often than not, those closest to you are the ones who will give an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on if you need it. . You can still be strong when you feel vulnerable. . Recognize that you don’t have it all figured out, and that it’s okay to ask for help sometimes. . I want to thank everyone who has been there for me these last couple of weeks, with encouraging words and so much more... . I love you all, and any time you ever need me, I’ll be there! . . . . 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 #vulnerable#wednesdaythoughts#leanonme#emotionalhealth#wonderfullyfitmom
Haaaaave you met my new best friend? Me and this step are about to get REAL close come January. Never did I ever imagine settling for a 20 minute workout in the middle of my living room, but here we are, pushing aside the coffee table and trying not to “hop hop squat” on the dog. Never did I think I could get a good workout without my dumbbells and barbells, but this overwhelmed mama is sure willing to give it a shot. I don’t want busy days and long nights to be my excuse to lose sight of my health. I don’t want to use my sweet baby as my scapegoat to not take time to better myself. This is me embracing a new season of my life, with new goals and new obstacles. I’m dedicating 20 minutes a day to me. Not a better, more improved me. To the same me under new circumstances 👊🏼
Happy Wednesday! It’s mid week! How is it going? Still on plan or making excuses?? . Today I’m back in the gym and feeling fantastic! Thank you all for the dm and messages! I really appreciate it! Today I pulled off a great high rep, moderate weight chest and shoulder workout! . Flat DB Press 3x20 Incline BB Press 4x10 Pec Deck Fly (I use bands) 3x20 Side DB Raise 3x12 Overhead Press (I sit cuz I don’t have the head clearance) 3x12 Bent DB Raise 3x20 . Followed hat with my post workout Phormula-1 and Ignition and now it on with the laundry and dishes that are littering the house (see my story). . Hope everyone has a great afternoon! If you’re looking for new workout plans or help with your macros, shoot me a message! Best time to start is now! Links in my bio! . #workout#fitmom#renewedfitnesswithliz

Happy Wednesday 🖤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I wasn’t sure of what to write about today but after having a conversation with a friend of mine, I immediately felt the need to share it with y’all. We were talking about discipline and how it plays a huge part in life. I admitted that I’m great at starting things but I almost never see them through and that’s something I’m trying to get better at. They said “Life’s not a race anyways. I’m sure the things that you excel in is stuff even the most successful “looking” people lack in. I don’t think anyone really knows what the hell they’re doing at our age lol.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It hit home for me and I feel like we always need that reminder from time to time. Hope this helped someone today 🙏🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it.” -Salvador Dali
10 months ago not one thing in this picture was imaginable, wasn’t on my radar.... I was a fairly shy 6th grade teacher in Texas who got a random call from a Denver high school principal for an interview... an interview that led to “can you be here in two weeks?... oh and can you coach soccer?” Id dreamed of living in Colorado for over 20 years and how that resume got on my principal’s desk is beyond me. In that same week an NBC producer called out of nowhere to talk to me about @therock ‘s new show @nbctitangames ... I said sure but never imagined I’d be one of dj’s 64. It was an experience that has absolutely changed the course of my life. There were more challenges... heartbreaks... fear in 2018 than I ever thought I could handle. Prelude to all of this? December 2017... sitting on a bathroom floor, crying, begging, pleading God to move in my life. I grew up a bullied kid, dealt with my fair share of abusive relationships, dealt with my fair share of heartbreaks... I was at my breaking point and every day after that day in December I kept the faith that one day God would move... 2 months later? 👆🏽 only God could’ve pulled off this story... I don’t say these things to say “poor me”... there is no victim card here... I do however tell my story to say “hey you”... stand back up, wipe yourself off, and remember who the f* you are. God is good... all the time. - - - #godisgood#faith#titangames#therock#djs64#neversettle#getbackup#grit#grace#fitness#fit#fitfam#girlswholift#girlswithmuscle#colorado#teacher#coach#personaltrainer#weightlifting#motivation
Quick HIIT workout that kicked my ass! - - ➖10 ball slams ➖5 kB snatches in each arm ➖5 burpees ➖5 bicep curls - - Ended this workout with 5 rounds of sled push and battle rope. Only spent 30 min in the gym total and got a great workout. #fadofit#helpingpeoplegetfit#hiitworkout
I picked this dress up more than a year ago from... wait for it... Sarojini Nagar. I finally wore it today for the OnePlus 6T McLaren edition launch. Because, why not. 1. It is time I made another trip to Sarojini. 2. I should dress like this more often. 3. God, give me more patience.
Phenylethylamine (PEA) is often called the "love drug," this chemical, which stimulates the nervous system and triggers the release of pleasurable opium-like compounds known as endorphins. Chocolate has all of the ingredients needed to make it a wonder drug. After all, it contains compounds similar to those found in ecstasy, morphine and marijuana. So why aren't chocolate bars sold from locked cabinets behind the pharmacy counter? The truth is, while there are indeed pleasure-inducing and stimulating chemical compounds found in chocolate, the amounts of most of these compounds are relatively small. Additionally, as the brain is exposed over and over to a barrage of compounds, the number of receptors available for the compounds to bind to actually decreases and the ones that remain are less easily triggered. And the reason for this reaction to drugs is the body's natural state of seeking equilibrium .When hormones are released artificially by the compounds found in chocolate or any other drug, the body seeks balance by shutting down the receptors that release the hormones. As a result, we become desensitized to the effects of these compounds over time. Perhaps, one should live a relatively clean life to get all the benefits that chocolate can bestow. - #medschool#medical#medicalstudent#pharmacy#pharmacist#nurse#college#keeppushing#instaquote#instagood#inspiration#motivation#chocolate#motivationalquotes#neversettle#igdaily#bestoftheday#love#dreambig#conquer#grind#hustle#workhard#nevergiveup#justdoit#success#successful#quotes#quote
