Quer entender melhor?! Vai nos destaques “Est. Precoce” . 🙋🏽‍♀️Fga. Dra. Sabrina Fontanesi 📌 Ribeirão Preto 👶👧 Atendimento linguagem infantil 📱(16)991665074

UGH I read this in one of my favorite books and it stopped me in my tracks. I'm still thinking about it 😏. No one is saying nutrition doesn't matter, people are healed from chronic ailments all the time with a positive change in diet. But the verse that says "a cheery heart is like medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones" is becoming more and more realized as science is finding how unresolved emotions play into disease. I want to steward my body well with what I put in it, but also with the thoughts, beliefs and emotions I process throughout the day. ✌🏼 I'm definitely practicing the "cancel, clear" thing as I hear things come out of my mouth that are laced with negativity, unbelief or whatever else I'm trying to renew in my thinking. I don't beat myself up when I respond less awesome than I hoped. I pay attention, notice , and move forward with the info that there is more to address. And that's totally ok. ❤ You can eat the perfect diet, but not absorb it any of it when emotions are not in order. I guess I'm just on a wee journey in learning to grow in both. 🙃

*PRACTICE MAKES ________!* * * #whyimeditate 🧠 I use these phrases I often in session with my clients! ✔️Practice NEVER makes perfect Bec PERFECT is an illusion! When we practice, we horn our ability to continue to practice. To relish the journey, to keep showing up! ✔️Engaging in Mindfulness practice helps is be more present...to the present! Seems simple, but it’s not easy! I’m actually writing a whole book about this right now. ✔️ It is within our capacity as humans to actually impact change on our neural circuitry! This wasn’t always the understanding of the brain, but the current zeitgeist has made it clear that our brain’s ARE MALLEABLE! * * While it’s not necessarily easy to modify old automatic thoughts and core beliefs that run on autopilot, with the right tools (humbly, I think that includes a skilled clinician!) we can make lifestyle choices that can change the structure and function of our brains. 🧠 The key are the 2 C’s! Consistency and Compassion. * * * Consistency of practice (whatever healthy lifestyle behavior you’re engaging in, for example, mindfulness practice) and Compassion for when you’re not consistent and need to start again. That’s the beauty of it all. We can change our brains to work more efficiently for us from a reduced fear-based place, AND there is NO end to the amounts of times we can try. * How are YOU showing up with 2C (Consistency and Compassion) for yourself today?! Let us know. We are holding you. Love on your BrainCurves today ❤️🧠🙌💃🏻. I love you. You got this. We got this. What are you afraid of? I have a fear of open bodies of water. Lakes, the ocean, even pools sometimes. Most people who know me are quite surprised to hear this. I'm a strong swimmer and have always spent a lot of time around water. I can wakeboard, kneeboard and waterski and spent every summer as a child either at the beach or at our cottage on the water. The difficult thing about fears is that the emotion is strong even if it's seemingly irrational. (I know, logically that I'm not going to get attacked in the water but that doesn't make the fear less real) But it's important to not feel like a prisoner to the emotion. We have the ability to overcome our fears. How do we do this? One of the key factors in overcoming a fear is understanding it's origin. Many of us have fears that are socially learned. So what do we do about these fears? Well, a fear is often a result of the belief that we will experience harm or danger - even if we have never experienced this danger before and the likelihood of it happening is minimal. Fear is a universal survival mechanism and can be incredibly important for our safety. But when a sense of fear becomes exacerbated, it transitions into a constant state of anxiety. Fears can be diminished once we come to understand the root cause and are able to process that perceived sense of danger or threat. The experience of fear and anxiety involves nervous system arousal. If your nervous system is not aroused, you cannot experience that same anxiety. This is something I go over in depth in my prenatal meetings with clients. Discussing fears before birth allows you to process the emotion and better understand it's source. Once you do that, it is easier to reframe your thinking around the fear. Learning how to calm your nervous system and retrain your brain to not see the threat is possible through various forms of therapy including narrarive therapy, cbt and exposure therapy.
The adventure of healing yourself is the adventure of reparenting yourself. The adventure of reparenting yourself is the adventure of re-embodying yourself. This involves retracting some of your attention from habitual outward projection (wondering about the past, the future, the thoughts of others…) and spending that curiosity on your inner world: the body. That’s why self-hypnosis relies so heavily on breath-work and imagined sensations. You are stimulating somatic awareness, and in so doing, rebuilding your relationship with another plane of insight. There’s a lot to unpack here, including how trauma causes us to withdraw attention from the body, what fun neurotic trouble that gets us into, and what exactly “Disembodied Logic” looks like. I’ll break this up into a few posts, so if you haven’t already, click on post notifications and jump into the convo over the next few days! #thatswhatsheshed #sheshedhypno
It’s neat that he reliably beats me at chess nowadays... We’ve been at this for 10 years now, and he’s way better than I am. But today, I won, and not just by a little bit. We had a lot of fun and laughs, and when he realized how serious the situation was, he grabbed a ceramic house to add to his arsenal. 😄😉🤓. We had a lot of fun with this game. #chess #chessgame #game

Many sensitive, heart-centered people have strong intuition. * Have you noticed this in yourself? Have you ever had a gut feeling about something that turned out to be true? * Intuition connects us with the wise self that we all have inside. * When we combine our intuition with our conscious reasoning, we can make good decisions and more easily navigate life. * The challenge can be discerning which messages are coming from our intuition, and which messages are coming from our fear-based, survival brain. * How can we tell which messages are coming from our highest, wise self? Those messages will have a calm, loving, expansive perspective. * Messages of fear, scarcity (not enough), and self-criticism come from the fear-based part of the brain that evolved to focus solely on our survival. * Calming our survival brain helps us get more in touch with our intuition. * Some things that help calm our survival brain are: * - unplugged time in nature - joy and laughter - spending time with positive, uplifting people * All these activities prompt our brain to flood our body with soothing, helpful neurotransmitters (chemicals). * With these positive chemicals flowing through our bloodstream, our survival brain calms down and our intuition is much clearer. * The stress hormones produced by the survival brain are like mud on a windshield - they make it harder to see. Positive neurotransmitters wash away the mud so we can see clearly. * When our survival brain is calm, there are other strategies we can use to get more in touch with our intuition. * Journal writing can be helpful for accessing intuition. Ask questions such as, “What does my highest, wisest self have to say about this situation?” * Drawing, painting, and collaging also are great ways to access intuition. Set an intention of using the activity as a way of getting in touch with your highest, wisest self. * Talking with a trusted friend or counselor also can be helpful, especially someone strongly in touch with

Calm, focused awareness & fear ...swarms of wasps... Two years ago I ran into the woods to fetch a missing bow for Will. I was focused on my mission but completely unaware of the forest floor. I stepped on a wasp nest with a half donned Chaco. Many many stings later (& hooting and hollering spectacle!) I was determined to never step into a swarm of wasps again. Two years later, I found myself camping on an island... the only potable water came from a spigot guarded by a swarm of territorial wasps. I couldn’t help but wonder...what helps us confront our fear...to break an “I’ll never” contract we made with ourselves...to intentionally step into a swarm of wasps. Slow, calm, awareness...associating the reward (water) with pleasure. Breathing...slow, calm, observation. ...and them I stepped in. This time, several times. Reminds me to keep returning to this practice. Slow, calm awareness. Reminds me that it is a practice. Perhaps it’s not about avoiding that which we fear, but approaching it in different ways. Or perhaps I say that this time because I didn’t get stung. #wonder #breathe #awareness #practice #neuroplasticity #overcome #selfhypnosis #heal
