Last week I worked out 6 times, and this week I’m hoping for the same. Scheduling out my workouts for the week, and reaching out to friends to stay accountable. . Today I kicked off the week with my own programming 😱 . So of course that included burpees, rowing, slam balls & planks. . Whatever reason you use to hold yourself back? You’re wrong. You will always regret it. Do not miss the opportunity of a lifetime waiting until you are ready, because you probably never will be. Instead, just go for it... if you fail, at least you tried, and if you’re passionate about it... keep trying! As my active recover period comes to an end the amount of weight and the number of reps I use during my workout will increase. I actually recovered from an ED and seriously screw all you guys that hide your “recovery” with a rebranded obsession.  You still have body dysmorphia, make no mistake. I keep up with my schedule and lifestyle by being prepared and having an image of what I want my week to look like already planned and thought out. Planning your workouts and meals before hand can take the hassel out of making good decisions.  SET YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS!  When making goals for your week you have to remember to be realistic, and to not put too much pressure on yourself. Before setting a goal ask yourself will this create more unnecessary and unwanted stress for me? Is this something that I feel confident about? Does this build me up to acheive my ultimate goal? I also limit my goals to at the most three per week, that way I dont feel overwhelmed or discouraged right off the bat.  Goal setting, if done strategically, can bring about more motivation and confidence but when you become obsessed with one specific detail you might end up holding yourself back! Its okay to take baby steps, its okay to take giant steps. My personal weight-loss transformation for ya. I happened to stumble upon @christianguzmanfitness and decided to take his 90 day “Summer Shredding Challenge”. I went from 220 to 160 in just 90 days. It took some serious dedication and hard work; in the gym and with my diet. It was hard, but the transformation both in my physical appearance and my internal confidence was well worth it. • • • I KNOW it’s hard to get up an hour earlier or delay going home an hour. I KNOW it’s hard to make healthy, nutritious dinners instead of grabbing a burger on the way home. I KNOW how hard it is without support. I KNOW how hard it is to step on that scale and see the number. I KNOW how it feels to look in the mirror and not like what you see. I KNOW all the reasons not to. But I KNOW why it’s worth it. I KNOW how much better you feel physically. I KNOW how much happier you are when you’re not thinking about your weight. I KNOW how great it feels to see the numbers on the scale go down. I want you to know that there will never be the right time begin. It is matter of planning and daily output. Trust that everything is unfolding as it is meant to. Good things take time, not always the time that you think they should happen, but it doesn't mean they won't happen. Today taught me to trust myself. I often psyche out on squats because I don’t trust myself in pushing the weight. Today was different. Instead of sticking to my “normal”, I hit a new PR of 190. Unfortunately I didn’t record it because again, I hesitated. So I hope this helps someone to remember to trust yourself because you can do more than you believe.
