This is not for the faint hearted 🤦🏼♀️ Here are some horror before shots of the dodgy job a plumber did on our radiators. We used the same company that plumbed our bathroom but the owner ended up taking some time off so sent one of his employees to do the job. We paid a pretty penny for the radiators so wanted chrome pipes to replace the old copper ones. Whether it was a misunderstanding, we definitely didn’t expect this horror when we got in from work. Of course we were gutted and wouldn’t have minded so much if the pipes were straight for the chrome snaps to fit round properly. A few angry phone calls later and the owner kindly came back to fix them the week after. We now have lovely straight pipes with no snaps in sight! Ignore the squiffy skirting boards...this room is still under way. . . . #columnradiator#radiator#interiorinspo#bedroominspo

Good morning and happy Monday! I scrubbed and cleaned our hall bathroom yesterday, which is currently the only clean and put together room in our house. Boxes, dust, misplaced furniture and empty rooms can only mean one thing! The kitchen reno has begun and I could not be more excited! #littlehousekitchenreno
I think this must be one of our most productive bank holiday weekends in some time . So here it is our recycled garden table. We had a dining table with two benches that was on its last legs, the top was warped and needed re finishing (but warped bits would never look same) and I dreamed of something different . I remembered we had some old wood in the garage which was from an old separation fence/gate the old owners had (see last pic with my adorable son when he was cute and had the toddler chub 💛). So decided on a whim yesterday to make a new table top, it's overall about 30cm longer than the old table was which means we can now comfortably sit 6 people rather than the 4 and a small person which we managed before which was snug . I painted one bench using a @frenchicpaint alfresco range sample pot I won, its a nice grey (city slicker), I also used that for the table legs. The top was sanded down with my electric sander and painted with Cuprinol Shades in Nature Stone which we had left from painting planters last year. Still rather rustic but think it works in the garden (nothing MCM outside) . The middle of the table has a makeshift tile runner as the wood we had was a bit short 😂🙈 but I like it. We had an old fake eames chair from years ago in the garage which I've cleaned off (figure it's coped in the damp leaking garage for years the garden will be fine). I'll replace the wood spindle chairs soon with some new colourful mix and match chairs . We were going to turn the back of the garden into a seating area for the table to live but we liked eating here so much last night we will be sticking with here, even if our neighbour John will see us (shared drive, low fence). It's nice hearing the radio in the kitchen and easier for serving meals . Aside from 2 new chairs and a tile I've ordered for the middle runner, a fully recycled project and I'm happy knowing we've created something new...and basically we could only afford two new chairs, so recycled it
Happy Earth Day! 🌎 After quite literally the most perfect weekend of weather, Mother Nature is giving us a day of rain and thunderstorms. Does anyone else love a rainy Monday? I feel like I get so much more done, especially during a thunderstorm (though MN thunderstorms still have some measuring up to do to Texas thunderstorms.) ⛈ ••• Anyway, I’m totally aware that my feed has drastically morphed into a #homedecor feed, but it’s been really cool to see all my favorite spaces in a grid vs scattered throughout a house that still has a lot of messy corners and empty walls. It really makes me feel like our home is coming together and really becoming ours. ♥️ ••• Sending out good vibes for a great week!
Yes! We are much closer! It seemed like every time we worked on the stair railing project, something sent us spinning off course. Yesterday evening, after lots of rest and rejuvenation, Hubby said he'd like to install the handrail and worry about the rest of it another day!🔨 So, in less than a hour he practiced the money cut and went for it! Then got his Kreg stuff out and his drill extension and drilled, baby, drilled. Then he fiddled with squaring it up, then completed the installation of a solid handrail. This is a major part of the stairwell project done & dusted! 🎉 📷 Stories today should have some of my latest project. It will include: $5 thrift store blender, opps paint, a bit of drywall mud and some Ikea furniture.🎨 😊 I hope your weekend was wonderful and Monday treats you kindly! Lorin💕
